This place is only a few month old, still in soft opening, good quality food and good service. Claimed no MSG, still tastes flavorful, I like the option of fresh noodle, will come back for sure

This is a new place in “The Plant” which was occupied by a Korean place before. The server was super friendly and apologetic. He forgot my tea and he delivered it after I reminded him, so he apologised and gave it to me for free! He was the only one serving everyone although there was not really a lot of customers needed to be served. It’s going to be tough competing with authentic Vietnamese dishes a few minutes away deep in mini-Vietnam towns. But, I’d be happy to support them once in a while. The food is enjoyable and the decor is lovely.

Can here on an afternoon for the soft opening, while the restaurant was pretty empty.

Roots Bistro is an absolute gem in the heart of San Jose. From the moment you walk through the door, you’ll be greeted with warmth and hospitality that truly sets this restaurant apart. The menu features an impressive array of dishes that showcase the restaurant’s commitment to using fresh, local, and seasonal ingredients. But what really impressed me about Roots Bistro was the attention to detail that went into every aspect of the dining experience. The presentation of each dish was thoughtful and elegant, with each component carefully arranged to create a visually stunning plate. And the service was impeccable – our server was friendly, knowledgeable, and always on hand to make sure that we had everything we needed.

It is Vietnamese cuisin place. The broth of Pho is rich but doesn’t have enough Pho flavor and not enough basil .

This is a fantastic new place in The Plant. We really enjoyed the Shaking Beef, Octopus salad and the Lemongrass Beed noodle. Also the Yuzu lemonade was a must have. Definitely coming back!
