Fantastic happy hour experience. Love the corner spot — light and airy atmosphere was great! Attentive servers and chef graciously greeted us upon entering. Ordered from amazing selection of items available for happy hour. Hands down the best agadashi tofu I have had in Seattle and surrounds. Avocado Bomb was simply delicious. Spring rolls perfectly crunchy and tasty with dipping sauce. Fried oysters and tuna roll were easy to eat. Cold Sapporo was refreshing and helped it all go down. Tab was under $58 for three of us and we left totally fulfilled.

This was my first experience at a sushi restaurant where the sushi chef was female! I about love it and the sushi was fresh and amazing! Highly recommend that next time you’re in Capitol Hill, stop by and grab some sushi!

A great sushi dining experience while on a relative budget. Service, atmosphere, and food were all on point. Food was so good I forgot to take pictures when it came. I guess that alone can attest to how great this place was. 10/10 would recommend

This place was SO GOOD. the food quality you get for the price is astonishing especially in Cap Hill. better go asap before it becomes unsustainable because for some reason this place is not packed. Very fresh fish, very accomplished dishes. Go go go!!

Sakana is a new jem in Capital Hill and is surely to be my new go-to sushi spot. I tried the gyoza, Geisha roll, and 15th roll. It had great construction, complexity, and freshness. The staff are welcoming and friendly. Highly recommend.

The late night happy hour deals are the best in town if you’re craving sushi! We had quick and polite service and the interior is clean bright with a sushi counter right in the middle. We enjoyed the food, tried the mixed tempura plate and a bunch of basic rolls. We spent under 70 dollars, including tip, and had lots of leftovers. This may be our new go to for affordable sushi on the hill!

Aside from parking, super easy to get in and grab a table at 7pm. Sushi is delicious at a great price point for the hill.

Excellent food, great service. They have both early and late happy hour. Also open late which is rare in Seattle.

So glad I tried this place, will be my new go-to sushi spot! We ordered the Empire Nigiri platter and Seattle U roll, and the fish tasted very fresh and portions were very generous. I would highly recommend the platter as the presentation was beautiful, the nigiri pieces were large (my boyfriend and I split each one easily) and there was a great variety of fish. Our waitress was also super friendly. Overall a great experience and I’m so glad to have this spot in the neighborhood!
