The food & service was as excellent as I’ve heard & read! Such a great local gem. Had the brioche french toast topped with strawberry compote & chocolate chips. Best hot chocolate I’ve had in a long time as well. Simply delicious!

Went for breakfast and it was delicious. Flap jacks, eggs Benedict, breakfast burger, coffee, and bloody Mary’s were all great. Our server was the best! He was attentive, friendly, and never missed a beat on coffee refills and getting extras for the toddlers at our table. I’m looking forward to going back.

This was a great dining experience. The choices were unique. The quality of the ingredients and preparation were very good. Our waitress was helpful and friendly and checked back with us to make sure everything was great. This will be a regular stop for us. Well done!

My favorite breakfast/brunch spot. I LOVE this place. Affordable – although I usually end up ordering enough for two breakfasts so I have left overs so maybe not so affordable. The eggs and produce are all provided by the owner’s farm so it is as farm to table as you can get. Almost all other ingredients are provided by other local farms. Weekends have a bloody mary bar which includes a ton of homemade pickled vegetables. I lived in the South for a while and have not found a really good biscuit until I ate at Salt Fork. And the homemade raspberry jam is to die for. The staff is friendly and accommodating. Very family friendly. Very laid back atmosphere. I would highly recommend this place to anyone. Please don’t go though because I don’t particularly want to wait for a table.

Drove up from Iowa City today and arrived a little after 9 am. Had coffee and ordered. Food and service were good. At 10 am the host came to the table and asked us to leave. He said they would have people waiting soon. No one was waiting. It interrupted our conversation and what had been a nice Saturday breakfast. I have never been asked to leave a restaurant before so I called him over and told him that I thought it was rude to ask us to leave after less than an hour. When the manager came he said they often ask people to leave after an hour on weekends. He seemed surprised I thought it was rude. There was no sign or menu card. They don’t need or seem to want new customers. It is a local place and fine for a quick bite on the run. I would not suggest it for a destination/Sunday drive meal, a family celebration, or a date where ambience or customer care might matter.

Stopped in for brunch and bloody’s and everything was amazing! Our group was seated immediately by very friendly, jovial staff and our drinks came quickly. The bloody bar was full of unique fixings, including spicy and sweet homemade pickled goods. The screwdriver was made with fresh-squeezed OJ! Flapjacks were thick and tasty and bacon was perfect. We’ll be visiting again.

That one a very very good burger. Very glad we got to eat here even during these challenging times. If you can afford to eat out, hit this place up. There is cheesecake for later that looks epic!!! Oh and my 6yo daughter gives the fries 8 out of 5 stars. Can’t say better than that. Thank you SFK

We were recommended Salt Fork Kitchen by a friend. Went for breakfast this morning. It was so incredible!! Highly recommend the French Toast, I could eat a whole loaf! There was 5 of us and everyone loved what they ordered! Our server Melissa was on top of it and you could tell she really cared about our experience. Can’t wait to go back!!
