Very tasty bbq! I had a brisket sandwich with cole slaw and hush puppies, everything was top notch. I wish I could make brisket like that. The thing I like the most is that they prepare all their meats fresh evey day, so if they run out, that’s it! That’s how you know it’s good bbq. Glad to have a spot like this in Forest Park, definitely will be back.

My family has been meaning to try this place for a while. We ordered takeout tonight for the first time – it was truly great. Two in our household don’t eat beef or pork, but they loved the smoked turkey. The brisket was tender and full of flavor on its own (although we all enjoyed the sauce too). Definitely our new go-to for BBQ. (edited to add a written review)

I’m always a little hesitant to try new BBQ places, but I’m all in here! Some places can have bland sauces, dry meat, no flavor other than the meat, but not this places. Turkey and brisket were not try at all, and all the sauces had good flavor (even the garlic buffalo). You could taste the meat, but it wasn’t just meat there was more flavor there. All the sides were good, and what’s surprising there is that coleslaw and mac and cheese can be so generic at 95% of BBQ places and these were really good. The beans were mostly BBQ place beans, but still good. Can’t wait to try the award winning ribs!!

Ribs were excellent. All the sides were great. We had the Mac and cheese, okra, beans and coleslaw. Chicken wings had a crispy crunch but probably needed a little more flavor. Their great sauces solve that problem though. Definitely want to make it back for brisket.

Big boy status ♂️ ♂️ ♂️ OMG shrimp and grits were great( I flooded them with sugar and butter) the wings also now the ribs were tender and had a nice smokey taste to them kinda sweet no sauce add but with the sauce it had a great kick… been hunting for BBQ so I could kick this feeling cus my vacations don’t fall on BBQ holidays so I have been hunting for something to hit the spot and they did… I mix up the sauce tops so idk which on I like best but meh

This is one of the best meals I’ve had in a very long time. We ordered the pulled pork, ribs, sausage, and chicken wings. From the first bite it just kept getting better and better. This is true BBQ, and the sauces had some nice heat and the perfect balance of sticky and sweet heat. The side dishes are perfect and taken seriously. This is our new spot on our rotation. Enjoy!

This small batch barbecue is exceptional! Their place is just perfect! If you are a person looking for a best place to hang out with your friends then this is the best place to go to, I very much recommend their Wings, delicious and very fried yet tasty, their Chicken are crispy as well as their Mac and cheese! Their sauces are also a great pair with their delicious mouth-watering foods and their drinks are neat, your own pick about whatever drink you’d want to pair. When we first got here, the staff already greeted us and the vibe was definitely a set on for a more fire mood, they even assist us to the vacant spot, and also guiding us upon taking our orders. I very much recommend this place, Keep up the good work! Will definitely go back here again! This place is very accessible and easy to find. Thank you Small Batch Barbeque! I order through grub hub . The meat was great. However the sides were not great. The coleslaw tasted sour and dry. The bake beans were over cook and spicy. The meat is goods but skips the sides.

Found Small Batch searching for fried okra. We were mostly interested in the okra, so we sampled several sides also. Solid and damn good. Much better than we’ve had at other bbq shops around. Already planning another trip back for more okra and to try out the meats.

Saddened to make this review because I wish I could give them 5 stars. I like bbq and supporting small businesses. I ordered smoked wings, ribs and shrimp& grits. The wings were just too dry. I’ve had smoked wings at other places and over the years my parents have smoked just about every meat there is. For us this was just too dry. The ribs were just okay. There was some tenderness to it and it was seasoned well. However, I do like fall-off-the-bone kind of ribs. If they entered forest park’s rib feast (oh good memories ) they would be fighting for third place. The shrimp&grits I’ll have to say was the best dish of the order. The shrimps were large, tender and flavorful. The grits were smooth and comforting as they went down after an unique twist of flavors passed your palette. The cheese choice and spices from the shrimp worked well together. This review is getting long so I just want to say, I was a little disappointed, but I want to give them another try so we’ll see how that review turns out. It is a little pricey, but give them a try incase I caught them on a bad day.
