Smith Coffee & Cafe, residing in an 1877 historic building, has an amazing ambience! My daughter enjoyed her blueberry maple scone and I loved my almond croissant; though the croissant looked a little dark it was perfect with a delightful texture and flavor. The shop is large and has many nooks and crannies for seating. The shop also has lovely garden, patio, & porch seating. They are popular, so even though the parking lot is large, it often is difficult to find a parking spot. Searching for a parking spot is worth the fun experience. ❤️

Scones are an excellent litmus test for a breakfast cafe, and I loved the bursting blueberries and not too sweet maple syrup glaze. I ate most of it before my coffee arrived! The service is friendly and timely (the scone was simply that good). Who can beat an outside patio with an Ivy covered gazebo, especially after the heat wave. The historic aspect tops the cake.

Delicious coffee and breakfast spot in Eden Prairie. The spot is kind of hidden it its own little nook. Parking can be kind of a challenge. However, if you find a spot, you’re in luck. The coffee choices are delicious. The breakfast sandwich is very tasty, too. There is plenty of seating on the inside, and it’s quiet enough to work or have a nice conversation.

In Mpls for family reunion. Our cousin recommended Smith for a fun lunch spot. Perfect day to sit outside and they easily accommodated our group of 16. I had an iced latte and avocado toast breakfasts. My only complaint is that it was a bit challenging to eat being served in a cardboard boat and plastic utensils but it tasted great!! Others in our group hand sandwiches and breakfast plates and all loved them. And my MIL raved about the potato chips. Such a cute building with super friendly staff and great food!!

Only reason to give this a 4/5 star is because I feel like they could have few more options on their food items. It was sad that I couldn’t get any of their pastry items since it was later in the day, but I also think as a coffee shop, having enough supply to last the day is beneficial.

Comfortable and cozy indoor seating for the winter months, or spacious and sunny outdoor seating for summertime! Atop of the historic value it brings to Eden Prairie, its also the hottest meeting place in town. Smith Coffee is THEE meeting place for all things group/committtee, 1:1, brainstorms, etc. And don’t just schedule coffee — check out their pozza and wine nights, too! I was here in winter so couldn’t experience the outdoor seating. Loved seeing the coffee brewing machine by the entrance. The food was fresh and tasty (avocado toast) and I loved the turmeric tonic. A place that has unique drinks always gets more stars from me.

Loved the atmosphere. Coffee was really good and the pastries too. Enough selection. Staff was efficient and courteous. We sat outside but they have indoor seating too. Plenty of parking. Prices are average for a small local business. Going back on another special occasion.
