The fish was so fresh and yummy! I only got a picture of the protein roll which was delicious. Sometimes it’s nice to skip the rice so you can have more room for other rolls

The sea trout is the reason to come to socal sushi. It’s wonderfully seasoned and delicious.

I was down at the zoo and wanted to find a sushi place nearby for my daughter and I to go to. I looked online and found this tiny little place with great reviews.

A cozy sushi restaurant with friendly service, fresh tasting nigiri, and plenty of colorful rolls to keep your palate interested. Seating is limited and first-come first-serve, so arrive a bit early or you might end up on the waiting list as we did. There is free parking on nearby streets and we found a spot without much trouble . Prices were very reasonable and the kitchen worked efficiently to get our orders out quickly. Sweet Hokkaido scallops, this place was fun! Recommended.

The food was great. Definitely try the wings and Japanese fried chicken. The rolling deep roll was my favorite

This tiny place packs a whole lot of awesome! The two people I interacted with at this establishment were super nice. The place is clean. Anyone can view (and be amazed by) the chefs. Parking is a little tight and limited so if you can walk here, you should. Oh, yes, the rolls were amazing! If you like a little spicy (but not overly spicy) then try the Hello Kitty roll. Next time we come back to San Diego, will definitely hit this place again.

Friendly staff and good location. Unfortunately, although the fish was generally fresh, the rolls were a bit boring. We may give it another shot sometime, but probably would drive a bit further to Riki instead.

Everytime we come back to SD, we make a stop at this spot. We’ve been long time customers and known the chef owner and his family.

Amazing sushi. Had my first oysters ever tonight, and they were amazing! The staff is entertaining, as well. Try the mochi! (I strongly suggest the green tea variety.) Great way to finish off a meal!!

Wow. Thank the Lord for this place. I’m pretty stereotypically American in my sushi eating habits, so I don’t want to come across as pretentious. But this place has the best sushi I’ve ever had as a somebody who has frequented a fair amount of sushi restaurants in SD. The rolls were incredibly delicious and beautiful, the seaweed salad was the best I’ve had, and the mochi was delightful. The owners/staff are so friendly, and it really feels like a family establishment. I’ll be back for sure.
