For Girl’s Night we decide to come to the soft opening of The Southern Gourmet’s new location. They are serving up some amazing cocktails! When they told me the jalapeno simple syrup was made fresh in-house I had to try the SoGo Spicy Margarita. My friends raved about the Strawberry Smash & the Jalapaloma too. I had never had fried deviled eggs & they did not disappoint. The salad was huge! They have a pretty bar area & the staff were great! Look forward to coming back!

Hands down the best fried pickles I’ve ever had. I’m no Southern Gourmet but these were crunchy and delicious. Amber the bartender/server was outstanding. Great spot right near Publix with a patio. It wasn’t very busy for lunch on Thursday but I believe they just opened recently. Great spot that more people should know about! I’ll be back.

Delicious! The Sriracha chicken pasta was wonderful. We also had the ZLT and a grilled cheese. Also delicious! And the Mud cake is decadent! Highly recommend!

Went for dinner at 5pm today. The Restaurant today had 3 other tables, 2 servers and a hostess.. We got our app pretty quickly. The nachos were very good and I do recommend them. However, it took another 45 min to get our food. Menu is pretty small and definitely not what I would think for a southern restaurant. The burgers were grossly over cooked. The chicken sandwich was ok, not horrible! The French fries tasted like they sat in oil and got cold. They were served ice cold and no seasoning at all. There was no salt and pepper on the table and the food needed it big time. The server was no where to be found. We needed something and by the time she came back around she brought the check. The coleslaw was just shredded cabbage with a little dressing. Not worth it!

We had brunch today and the food was delicious. Two of us loved the Spinach and Feta omelet that includes fruit and roasted potatoes. We also shared the French toast which was equally delicious. The others had the omelette platters which also includes roasted potatoes and fruit. They also ordered 2 sides of sausage and they enjoyed both the platter and the sides. All I can say is that everything was yummy! The staff was friendly and we are definitely going back.

We ate here on a Thursday afternoon about 5 pm. Food and service were both excellent! I had the Salmon with garlic mashed potatoes and steamed broccoli, my wife had the meatloaf sandwich. Both dishes gave you plenty to eat, the salmon was cooked perfectly and had great seasoning on it, same with the garlic smashed potatoes, got to get those again. My wife’s meatloaf sandwich was wonderful as well. The server was very friendly and attentive. We will be back soon!

Fantastic nachos. Yes the chips were stale, and the guacamole was brown, but the presentation was great and the flavors still worked beautifully together. The mac and cheese was buttery and cheesy. Although the cheese was probably expired and clumpy, the plating still looked great. Would recommend, but not go again.

We absolutely loved Southern Gourmet! They were easy to work with, responsive and helpful! When we went for the tasting we were amazed with HOW GOOD the food was especially for the affordable rate. We did not plan on trying desserts the day of the tasting, but we are sure happy we did. We literally tried 1 flavor of cake and what they had available and were SOLD. We ended up serving what we tried and everyone enjoyed it! I would recommend The Southern Gourmet to anyone who wants AMAZING food that is affordable and sold by kind and professional people 🙂 What a great experience!

We went for Father’s day brunch and loved it! The staff was attentive and the food was delicious! The breakfast tacos and the waffle platter were hits, and we loved the $3 mimosas! We’ll be going back soon!
