So I got to tell you, this place made me feel like I walked into my grandmother’s kitchen and saw my family cooking. They prepared their food with so much love that it even tasted the same way. So you can get a clear understanding of how good this food was. It was so good, that I had to call and speak with the owner Carl personally to thank him for bringing so much love to this community with with him and his family’s cooking. He really brought a lot of life to this town with food that is not even existent around here, good quality food at that. You can clearly tell that they are passionate about what they do. And also passionate with the customers they serve. I sincerely recommend this wonderful establishment that I have now called my home away from home. And I also recommend that if you are in the town of Steger that you need to come to this place ASAP. I feel as though it will change your life and your food preference when you come here. I want to personally say thank you to Carl and your family. And you will definitely be seeing us again and I will be referring you to every single person that I know. And I hope this review reaches everyone that is in this area looking for a wonderful place to eat wonderful food and meet wonderful people. Thank you family and God bless. Prompt service and excellent flavor. I had an oxtail dinner, jerk chicken lunch and a shrimp dinner! All were very flavorful and the oxtail was falling off of the bone. My food came out quickly and they take Apple Pay !

food is always fresh and delicious, the Mac and cheese is easily one of my favourites from any place I’ve gone to. girls they have working the front are friendly and smart. great prices and the jerk chicken dinner is to die for. so happy this place opened near me!

I think I’m going to make this a go to spot. Love the ribs I always try mine naked first (w/o sauce) and they were tender and tasty. Tried the perch fish and jerk chicken which I also enjoyed. Ordered online and food was still hot, on time and orders were right both times. Lost a star on the sides I had rice and beans, cabbage, yams and Mac and cheese. 2 out of 4 is not bad so overall I enjoyed my experience. Also the portion sizes are decent for the price. Very friendly and helpful.

Been here 3 times since they opened and each time it was a bad experience.. 1st time the little girl behind the counter had a attitude and they basically had nothing on the menu.. second time order a tip and link payed for it stepped outside where they could still see me for about 15 mins , I come back inside they didn’t even have what I ordered or the common sense to say something out the walk up window , 3rd time they didn’t have no chicken so I got some jerk tacos and they had the nerve to put these in my bag and they where HORRIBLE!!!

I tried this place today for the first time. My food was sloppy how it was put together. My husband cabbage was very mushy and My yams were soupy and was all over my jerk chicken. The young lady who was at the register was very pleasant. I threw my food away. I really wanted to like it. My husband didn’t eat his either and his rice tasted old.

While waiting on my order, which was fried chicken dinner. A lot of people were picking up their jerk dinners, 2 – 3 orders per person. Idk they served jerk until arriving on my next visit I will try a jerk dinner since it was very popular there. Also, my chicken dinner was great! I’ll definitely be back

The jerk chicken was delicious. The cabbage and rice and beans were good. One small deduction is that I’ve never had jerk where I didnt get a couple chunks of plantain. My big issue with this place was the service. The young lady that answered the phone and “greeted” me when I got there seemed to be annoyed that I wanted to order. She didn’t say anything when I walked in and said hello and mumbled everything after that. I didnt even get a “May I take your order?” I’ll try this place again to see if service is better because the chicken was good.

We love this place. The only reason for 4 stars is because they are understaffed for the demand. The demand is great because the food is excellent. Can’t go wrong here, wings, rib tips, jerk, nachos whatever. Highly recommend just be sure to call ahead.
