The name says it all; It is a Mexican Japanese fusion restaurant. They don’t serve sashimi or nigeri. The rolls that I ordered were okay, but had a lot of rice, and only a little bit of fish. Good taste though. I wouldn’t recommend for the sushi traditionalist or purist.

No curb appeal but the food is good and the service is polite. Also it didn’t take long for our orders to come out. The green beans with hot sauce and lime I hadn’t ever had before and will not have again. Just not a good idea in my opinion. The sushi and beef lo mein were very good! I will definitely order them again.

This makes sense as cultures who love rice and seafood combine to form as one. We had the pleasure of watching a dehydrated man collapse and the staff rescued him with agua. The edamame was delightful and if you don’t mind cream cheese you’ll find everything on the menu appealing.

OMG, Sushi Sonora has the best food/sushi in Phoenix! The total experience was awesome, from the waiter to the amazing sushi! Despite being busy, they were quick to get our order to the table. For those that haven’t had Mexican sushi from Sushi Sonora, you won’t be disappointed. Also, go there hungry because the portions are very generous! 5 stars across the board!!!

Delicious, HUGE rolls with a unique twist, clean lil mom and pop type place, friendly service, fair prices. My son can’t stop raving about the roll he got, something deep fried with carne asada. We will be back!
