We had a limited time in NYC and ultimately chose Takumi Omakase. It did NOT disappoint! Always a good time sitting by the counter and watching everyone. You get 3 appetizers, 11 nigiri, and 1 handroll for $89! Seems like NYC has many options for omakase under $100. Overall great time here. Would definitely love to come here again if I make it back to NYC.

Highly recommend! If you are looking for an Omakase experience with wonderful, attentive service, high quality of fish and reasonable prices, I would highly recommend trying Takumi Omakase. The standout pieces for me included the oyster with yuzu foam and the uni. Be sure to ask about their special fish which is available ala carte. Make sure to have reservations before you go!

Solid omakase experience. Our chef was very friendly and entertaining throughout the night. Highlights were the unagi ngiri and torched salmon ngiri. Everything was delicious except the for the uni dish – it did not taste fresh. Bonus points for the complimentary sake we received with our dining (10pm Sat reservation).

Me and my boyfriend like going to Omakase for sushi a lot. This place is quite unique because they have people from China making you sushi. The sushi have quite similar taste to any other places we went to. The chefs are nice and the service was great. The fish portion is smaller than other places we went to with the same price and it was fine. Overall, it was ok.
