Very good food and delicious tacos. I was in Liberal, Kansas for the first time recently, and hadn’t any idea where to find good Mexican food. I decided to try Taquería El Gallo de Jalisco after going to several other places. The food was great. Definitely more authentic, compared to the other Mexican restaurants that I went to in Liberal.

I am a Super Taco Expert. This place has some of the most delicious tacos I have had. Inside and out, food and cafe authentic Mexican, to include no English. Get 4 meat tacos, 2 modelo especials and you are in Heaven. A must stop. Don’t let the decor deter you get the food, beer and sit back for a little Latina Stops Opera on the TV…Pricless

I kept on going by this place and thinking, “dang I want to go in there but no time or no money!”One day I was starving and I was driving by and had to go somewhere else but my intuition told me I better just go in and try it and boy I was so glad I did! The staff and owners were amazingly friendly and helpful and the food was out of this world delicious. They had an amazing salsa bar and I’m literally drooling thinking about this place as I write this. If you like Mexican food, real, delicious, authentic, beautiful Mexican food, you gotta try this place!

First time here. Charged $32 for a Taco Salad and a combination Chicken Burrito with mini taco (take-out, no drinks). Tasted fairly good, but is way, way over priced. No prices listed anywhere. I suspected we were charged more because we were obviously not local? If you are not already familiar with this place, go somewhere else that actually has prices listed for food choices or you will regret your visit. We won’t ever be back.

The food was really tasty here, and the portions were good. I was shocked by what we were charged, though. Sure, there are no prices listed anywhere in the building, but our total seemed overly expensive even after accounting for the quality of the food.

Mini steak tacos outstanding. Beans different but hot and really good. Chips and taco shells really crispy, fresh, hot and good flavor. Our server was friendly and nice! Others working there nice too! Would definitely recommend.

Horrible service. The lady taking orders was very distracted. She was on the phone neglecting customers and was very rude. She kept forgetting what we ordered & we had to repeat ourself often and on top of that completely forgot to put in one order & we were not aware of it until they brought out the food except for that order she didn’t place. Very bad service overall.
