So the sever was definitely not friendly didn’t smile, it was dead when we got here so the excuse that it was busy isn’t gonna fly with this review. We ordered tacos which the flour tortillas were smaller than my hand lol. We both ordered coffee. The whole 30 mins we were there eating they didn’t come give us a refill or even check the table. She didn’t even bring water lol I was basically chocking on the dry tacos. I most definitely would not go again

We have been there a few times and every time we go, we enjoy the food. The last couple of times I’ve ordered the Asada Quesadilla plate. Very good! And big portion. Prices are very reasonable, too. The staff is very friendly.

This place was ranked for MSN Best Burrito that pointed me to the tiny, strip mall-based Taqueria El Trompo. I was starving when I showed up since I didn’t eat breakfast and ordered what I heard was some of the best al pastor in town. I got the campechano burrito with pastor, diced carne asada, beans, lettuce, tomato, avocado and Mexican crema; but you can order it California-style and the two meats will be mixed with just rice and beans. Got it to go and tried to eat in the car. This is not a car-riding meal, but I was so hungry as the juices dropped into my lap. I really enjoyed the burrito and agree that it is a good deal for a meal and I hope to come back to try more!

Tried the chicken enchiladas it’s okay, it was a nice presentation but the chicken was a little dry. The rice had a good texture and the beans did as well. Tortillas chips tasted a little stale and the salsa was okay. Not much to choose on food options.

The food is not as it was from months ago. We all got 1/2 jalapeños instead of a whole one.

Amazing! Authentic Mexican Food! The Barbacoa we had on this visit was some of the best we’ve had since moving to S. TX. The rice and beans hit the spot as well as the chips and salsa. I only wish the chips were homemade that would have been perfect. That being said the prices were good and the service was great. Can’t wait to go back and try the Al Pastor.

My girlfriend and I came in for some breakfast tacos. My girlfriend liked hers. I liked 2 out of the 3 tacos I got. The one I disliked was a potato and egg taco with a strip of bacon. I usually look forward to that taco since it’s my to go to when going for breakfast tacos. Sadly, the bacon was burnt. Let the nice lady that took our order know, all she said was, “Oh yeah, I see it. I’ll let the cooks know that. Sometimes, they just leave it on for too long.” I was at least expecting to not get charged for the bacon on that taco or even then for them to offer to replace the taco. None of that happened. We still got charged for some burnt bacon that I didn’t eat. Also, usually, most restaurants offer you free water when you ask for water to drink. They brought us bottled waters instead.
