Unfortunately the woman working the counter was incredibly rude. I waited until trying the food before giving a review.

The BEST teriyaki in town ♥️! I‘ve been coming here since I was a college student and their teriyaki is the best in Seattle (still the same owner since then). I am sad to see bad reviews on this place

5/17/2023 The food was not good, the rice is dry, the chicken is small portioned. How does a special thats $10 become 15 by simply substituting white rice to fried. Everything overpriced place a rip off, then the portion is ridiculously small. Not worth the money. Go elsewhere.

I ordered kung pao chicken for takeout, but what I got was breaded, deep-fried, tasteless chicken with cabbage and peanuts in a sugary sweet sauce. No red chili peppers, no onions, no sweet peppers, and definitely no Szechuan peppers. They just took some generic orange chicken-type recipe and threw in peanuts. And that was $15 folks.

NICE people, fast service, very consistent food. All their teriyaki is great. I wasn’t keen on their wonton soup, but I like their daily teriyaki special. I often skip the vegis cause it’s just bag salad with an unremarkable dressing. But I come through for the teriyaki often.. for a while it was a 2+ times a week afair.

First, the good. My wife’s shrimp tempura was actually quite nice. Now, the rest. This place was good a little while ago. Everything is different now. See picture for the special ingredients added. There were clumps of human hair in the rice, indicating it hit the ground or something and was served. Wow, just glad I guess I found that after solving my hunger issue. The food….what happened?!? Expensive , dry and bland. The sauce is not teriyaki sauce really at all. It’s like corn syrup mixed with a little soy sauce, and very tasteless. Almost no effort was made there. But don’t worry, you can buy “extra” little cups for 0.25 to sauce the teriyaki that had almost exactly no sauce to begin with. The spicy sauce isn’t spicy or really even a sauce. Again, just like corn syrup mixed with a little Mae Ploy. The rice is some of the worst I’ve had in teriyaki. Dry and still a bit hard. The beef was so dry it had that “fuzz” lean cheap meet gets on the outside when it is also way over cooked (eg boiled) and tasted/felt boiled. Almost no sauce on it; it wasn’t tossed/coated, just some dribbled later. Meat is obviously unmarinated. Totally flavorless and grisly. Pork was all fat and not in the good way. Chicken was just kind of soft, instead of the nice grilled outside like most teriyaki. Pork was tiny little squares of flavorless squishy stuff. Lettuce wasn’t tossed in dressing at all, which itself wasn’t even very good (the dressing is the same virtually everywhere and so simple…how did they make it more tasteless?)

I go by this Teriyaki plus all the time mainly because my Dad/Iuncle has Dialysis in the building across the street, and he loves tempura prawns & shrimp. And I love Teriyaki because of my grandmother’s famous family Teriyaki recipe.. so what I order off the menu is the Teriyaki Bento Prawn tempura!.!(w/1 extra fork) Its perfect for the two of us. The both of us get what WE love and also get some of the others favorite food too, and we actually get full from it!. Its absolutely great! I can’t ever say no to Teriyaki Plus Northgate they know what they’re doing.. shout Out to the younger Girl that takes the orders and runs the register, she knew & remembered my special order after just once ordering it!! Things like to put a second fork & napkin in the bag for us.. much love & a Huge shootout to her
