What? No way I didn’t already review the Bad Seed. I think this is our third time and the first was shortly after they opened. I can definitely say that the food has been outstanding every time. Their flavors are amazing and ingredients top quality. The drinks are also unique and high quality. It is also cool that the building used to be the Hillyard library where I got my first library card. Can’t wait to come back!

Wow, what a great meal in a unique setting. The old library building is very quaint. Service was great and there are lots of food options. We tried the shrimp and grits ($15) which was very good. We also enjoyed a three taco platter ($15) with shrimp, chicken and skirt steak tacos. All three were fantastic as well as the rice and black beans. The cocktails are well executed. They use fresh juice and house made syrups. We tried the Cadillac Margarita and the Under the Volcano. Both were excellent. I highly recommend The Bad Seed. We will be back!

Authentic entry, a den with a study theme invited feeling! The foods ordered were decent, not enthusiastic about the burrito. Staff were attentive in their duties.

Taco Tuesday at The Bad Seed = delicious! My first time here and I will definitely be back. I had a vegan, a pork and a brisket street taco. My favorite? Whichever one I was was eating at that time. And the building is an old (haunted?) library.

Had the enchiladas, smoked brisket and pork carnitas with black rice and beans. Very good. Freshly made. Check it out.

Great atmosphere. Food was pretty good- but I wish there was a little more to choose from on the menu. Service was okay- it’s has a hipster Seattle vibe so don’t expect the same type of service you would get elsewhere maybe? Not a lot of smiling faces. Will need to go back to decide how much I like it.

I’m not sure I would eat here again. I ordered the 3 street tacos for $15.00. The food was decent tasting, but my entire dinner was luke warn to completely cold. The beans were a solid flavorless mass on the plate. The rice had hard dried out places in it. There wasn’t any salt or pepper on the table. The place was dirty and kinda dingy. It over all looked uncared for. Our waitress was nice, but disappeared for long periods of time. There were very few menu options and overall the food was just kinda strange. They weren’t really what I would call traditional street tacos. The menu had food spots on it and looked like it was put together by a child with bad grammar. From start to finish it took a very long time to get our food. Due to my meal being cold I felt like it sat in the window for along time before being delivered.

Love this place! The building is fabulous. The vibe is quirky and eclectic. The food, drinks and service were exceptional. A real gem. Not close to us but worth the drive. We will definitely be back

So today we decided to try here for the first time. We love to try new places and support local, small businesses. Outside looks neat but the inside is very dark at night. Staff was definitely friendly, dining area wasn’t very clean unfortunately. We had to wait on a table to be cleaned and then were seated at a wet table. Ordered Sprites and water and the Chips and Cheese appetizer. Sprite was terribly flat and water tasted like what I would get from my garden hose. The Cheese dip had decent flavor and was extremely rich. It became very glue like after about 15 minutes. The chips had a tasty seasoning but unfortunately everything else seemed to have the same seasoning on it. Also, when the appetizer was brought out the large tostada chips slid off the plate and the server started to use her bare hands to slide them back on. Which I intervened quickly to do myself. I also witnessed the main cook handling what appeared to be ready to eat foods with bare hands. I ordered the Shrimp, Pork and Cheese Grits. Shrimp was delightful but the Pork, AuJus and Grits were tasteless. Grits had zero cheesiness. I had to get a salt shaker, which was filthy just to add flavor to the rest of my food. Dish was a honestly a huge disappointment. My wife tried the 3 taco entree. She chose one of each taco except for the Tofu. She said everything on the plate was one note. Just different textures. I really wanted to like it here and had people I know recommend it. Not sure if this was an off day but we will never know as I can’t see us ever going back after today. Good people, poor food/environment experience.
