While I was in Fort Lee, NJ, I had the opportunity to stop and eat at the beer spot when looking for dinner with my friend and brother. The restaurant was in a nice location. While the server was very courteous, the service was extremely slow. The food was just ok for everyone in my party.

My husband and I came here with our handicapped son after a Dr’s visit @ CHONY. The food was GREAT and reasonably priced along with good portion size. I had shrimp tacos, which were really good and had nice sized shrimp in all 3 of them. We plan to make this one of our main places to eat when we come to the City.

Great place and spot, I love their beers, you absolutely need to try it, also they have parking lot in the back which is really good and cheap, $1.5 for two hours, the meals are amazing, If you are going there only for drinks specifically beer make sure you order fries with it, their fries just taste different 🙂 I forgot to take a pic of the fries but at least I got you some so you can understand what I mean their mac& cheese, burgers and wings also are soooo delicious. Service and people are very nice and quick. Thank You guys for making our time wonderful.

First things first, if you’re looking up their menu online it’s not up to date; so please don’t get your hopes up for something they may not actually have. They didn’t seem to have a hostess so you seat yourself. Took a while before anyone came over to provide a menu or take my order. Once my waiter did come I was met by a really sweet girl. I ordered their beyond burger with fries. I also had 3 beers that were fruity and spicy. As I finished three quarters of my 3rd beer I looked down into the glass to see something crusted onto the inside of my glass, Which was GROSS. I actually was enjoying the beer more than anything until I seen that. Won’t be back.

For a place with “beer” in its name, you expect just that. We waited over 2 hours and after placing several orders and making several requests, the beer never came. People arriving later were getting their drinks, but not our table. Service was practically non-existent and has been declining recently. Probably the worst service I have experienced anywhere. Often out of certain beer as well on Saturday nights. Place gets crowded and lacks staff. Time to find another spot.

Place has potential as it has good beer, atmosphere, and decent bar food.

I do not think I will be returning to the Beer spot and Grill. The experience did not stand out in any way except for maybe, the service.

Worst bar in NJ. So poorly managed the wait staff barely lasts a week. Every time you go back in it is a new group of waitresses who are clueless. The beer list is horrible and the bar “manager” who orders the beer is brain damaged, hence his name, Damaged. Go figure. If your idea of good beer is doughnut flavored, this is the place for you. They are not even bright enough to keep 4-5 beers always on tap, so a regular knows that they can at least get that. Nope, just a poorly written menu of random beers with zero description. Horrible. The place is almost always empty which speaks to the quality of the food, poor service and terrible beer list. Take my advice and avoid at all costs.

Tried this place on a whim because I heard they had a wide selection of IPAs and craft beer. While they were out of a few, I expected that at the end of a holiday weekend. What I didn’t expect was the food to be so good!! I wish the more of the TVs worked and it was a bit slow, but I’m definitely planning to come back. Another plus- outdoor space for the summer!!
