The place is great. So glad to see it reopened. We had the chowdah and the mushrorm soup. Both excellent. Fish and chips combo = all three fishes. Elk meatloaf was excellent. The beverage menu is good. We had no wait on a Friday at 8, but I have driven by to se the parkinglot full. No reservations, but that’s OK. Just go.

Back and better! Jason and the Roam crew have done it again! Everything you want the Brownstone to be in variety, but elevated in flavor and finesse. Old favorites meet new soon-to-be favorites served in this cleaned up Northwoods Supper Club ambiance. The chowder and the mushroom soup are back and both fabulous. The meatloaf and mashed potatoes get 5 stars. The fish combo plate is EVERYTHING. AND there is pasta that tastes like mama made it this morning. Add brews on tap By George and top the evening off with a Vernor’s or root beer float and you have the makings of a perfect evening in da UP! Family friendly and great for date night. You won’t be disappointed!

I chose this restaurant for my birthday dinner and it did not disappoint! It had a high end, but still “up north” vibe with some of the best food I’ve had in the UP. I had the scallops and my husband had the steak. It was absolutely worth the drive and we will be back!

Decided to go to the Brownstone last minute. Did not disappoint. No waiting. Love the new look …. Just enough modern to blend with the rustic to give new life. The food was outstanding. The Peaches Perch was cooked to perfection. The signature coleslaw had the perfect melding of flavors with hint of horseradish and blue cheese crumbles on top.

I wish I would have taken photos of the food. But the pretzel appetizer was huge and so good. We had duck tenders which were delicious. The steak and shrimp was absolutely spot on and cooked perfectly. Even the side salad was delicious. I can’t wait to go back and have told everyone they need to try it out!

The food was amazing and everyone super nice. We had the duck tenders to start which are great, not greasy, light and the blueberry jalepeno sauce goes well. It’s not spicy. Our party of two had the SRC burger and wood grilled scallops. Everything was great. The side salad was crispy and fresh and the fries were awesome. Despite the place being absolutely slammed with guests (30+ minute wait, huge 8-9+ people groups), the food came quickly, was cooked properly and hot.
