The Crispy Pig is pretty great comfort food. The mood and lighting at the restaurant was wonderful. I love the ruatic look the place has with it’s incandescent lights. I enjoyed the food quite a bit, but found it to be a little bland. I got the Fried Chicken for reference. The chicken is delicious but didn’t have any spice to really amplify the taste. Overall great environment and food though.

Stopped in for lunch on a Saturday. Place was not too busy and only really had the bartender serving everybody, so had lunch at the bar.

People have raved about the Crispy Pig so we couldn’t wait to try it. Upon entry it is a cute low-key, casual place that feels cozy. BBQ like decor greets you and the hostess was friendly. The cocktail menu has classic options and the overall menu has small bites and then larger plates. This is not a place if you are looking for lighter fare. The offerings are not exactly health conscious with significant grease and large servings. Great place if you are on the heart attack path. That being said, the ribs were delicious, the corn pudding yummy but a bit thin in composition, the catfish missed the boat and the mac and cheese needed salt/pepper. I do highly recommend the dessert and would probably skip the meal if we were to go again as the doughnut holes were fabulous.

Cute decor! There also are a lot of beers on tap if you are a beer drinker. I’ve been twice and I do find the food to be just okay. I really like pork so I have been happy with the menu selection but if you come here too often, it can get repetitive. There’s really no other place like this in the area so it’s always fun to eat at the Crispy Pig every once in a while!

My friends and I were in the Sea Cliff area of Long Island for the first time in more than ten years. And fortunately for us, The Crispy Pig seemed to be the only non-chain restaurant opn before 5PM on a Sunday in the immediate vicinity. I cannot speak for my three friends, but I was very happy with the food, the variety, the service, and the prices. They helped us alleviate our hunger and certainly gave us “service with a smile.” Hopefully, we shall not wait so long to return to Sea Cliff, and shall happily return to dine at The Crispy Pig.

The crispy pig in sea cliff is small but welcoming atmosphere and friendly staff. I travel allot and love bbq so to hear that sea cliff has a new restaurant bbq inspired and catchy name why not try it. The reason for the 3 stars was cause I was not pleased with the food. It was OK in my opinion but way over priced. We ordered the street corn which was very good and was inspired by the Mexican elote with a pepperica spice which was very unique. The menu had a short selection and found myself very undesicive. I ended up getting the pulled pork sandwich which was ok. I liked the potató chips more as they was fresh and had a bit of a kick to it but the actual entry was small and wasnt bbq more like a small brunt bun and pork cooked in a oven. My wife had the bbq ribs with the cherry root beer sauce and that was very disappointing. It came drenched in what seemed as ketchup and was removed and the ribs was drenched in sauce. The sauce is super sweet and the ribs very chewy meaning the ribs was not prepared correct. For “bbq” it’s very pricey and that was also a disappointment. Alcohol tax on top of pricey menu and sales tax another major disappointment. For such a small place they seemed over staffed. The best part was when the food did not agree with all of us the very next morning. At the end I can say I tried it but I had way better food and don’t think I’ll come back.

The Crispy Pig is a great family restaurant. The atmosphere is friendly, and the service is even friendlier. The food is amazing, with ideal comfort food such as the Grilled Pork Chops and the Fusilli Carbonara. Overall, I highly recommend the Crispy Pig.

Nice find. Small place with personal attention and some good food. Good beer selection. Only thing – for a place with “pig” in the name, I expected more pork dishes.
