We walked in around 6 PM and sat right down. There were too many issues to list here. It started right off the bat with lukewarm tea. The lamb and tenderloin were both tough. The meals were not hot from the rice to the meats , terrible. Even the salad dressing tasted like salad oil and nothing else. The carrots were waterlogged, and had no seasoning or butter on them, they tasted like frozen vegetables. I would’ve sent everything back but my dinner companion did not want to be embarrassed.

Walked right in sat at the bar. The bar tender was a riot! She had us laughing and feeling good the whole time we were there. She’s really good at her job. The food was also quite the experience! I had the lamb chops, they were done to perfection. Their grape leaves are one ff the best I’ve had. I’m so happy I went here. Will definitely be going back. It was all worth it! Can’t believe this place has been here in Haverhill this whole time and I never knew. Can’t wait to go back soon!

Reviews and menu looked good. Actually experience was a dud. Started off with a waiter who proved to be totally incompetent: no memory, wrote down the wrong orders, brought the wrong orders, etc. Menu proved confusing—‘mid-East Specialties’ looked like appetizers—then came as a meal for 2 or 3. And not that good (lots of Lima beans). Out of the clams. I tried the mushrooms stuffed with their ‘famous walnut stuffing’. Stuffing not so good or famous. Guess it’s an acquired taste. Stopped after eating 2 of the 8. My son tried the raw Kibbee–he’s an ultimate carnivore so likes raw meat. Said it was good but there was way too much (and he had the ‘small’ plate). My wife had ordered the Phoenician Shrimp as an appetizer—instead was served the main dish Baked Stuffed Shrimp with the Walnut Stuffing again. My son played it safe after he was told there was no Salmon Princess available and opted for three lamb chops. Hard to ruin. I ordered the Surf & Turf Shrimp (yeah, with that Walnut Stuffing again) and prime rib. Waiter screwed up again and just brought the Prime Rib (not sure he ever read the menu). Way too much food for each course—with matching prices. Not worth a $200 bill (without wine). Fair wine list. Good beer selection, bottles only, no draft. Had to beg waiter for water. High noise level, not a place for a quiet dinner. This place is off our list. There are many better in this area.

Went to grab a bite and sat at the bar. The manager was on the other side of the bar on a laptop not helping as the staff was running around asking questions. One bartender mentioned something to him and he chuckled and kept on the laptop.

The service was extremely slow and we were only the second group seated. We ordered 3 prime rib dinners and the meat was very tough and not seasoned at all. The combo appetizer was very good. And drinks were excellent.

The Phoenician has delicious hummus and a great prime rib. The service is always very helpful but can be very slow at times. The fries have a good texture but are very oily and have a strange taste. I got the beef on a steak and they were over cooked so I would recommend ordering them not as cooked as you usually do. Also they were covered in char, so if you don’t like the char taste I wouldn’t recommend this dish. It’s a nice restaurant but I’m not rushing back.

Were customers of Bishop’s back in the day NEVER disappointed. Tonight, disappointed. Food had no flavor, lobster pie overpriced, dry. Service ,order forgotten. Would not recommend if you’re looking for anything even CLOSE to Bishop’s back in the day. So sad.

Took Family to the Phonecian Restaurant to celebrate Brothers Birthday. Started off with huge pile of fresh Syrian Bread w/ Hommus, Taboulie and Red Onion. Also had side order of stuffed cabbage. Delicious! Dinners followed… Mom, my 2 brothers and I had the prime rib with baked potatoes and garden salad. King cut was 32 once bone in and Queen cut was 30 oz. All prime ribs were perfectly cooked medium rare with plenty of Au jui. Step Dad had Assorted Platter which had stuffed pepper, steak tips, rice, baked Kibbee and green beans. Wife had Broiled Haddock. Meals were all prepared to perfection. Everybody took home a doggy bag, portions were large. Service was friendly and spot on. Price was reasonable $340 for 7 people with tip @$410. Included meals, sodas and 6 appetizers. Location off the beaten path down 110 heading into the valley. After dinner went to Dolce Fredo for Gelato. Which was also excellent!

We chose The Phoenician for our mercy meal and had about 150 people. The room was set up beautifully. The food was ready on time, tasted exceptional, not over-cooked which can happen with large parties. We had the chicken piccata, beef tenderloins, rice pilaf and mixed vegetables. Even the mixed vegetables were delicious! The service was top notch & the drinks were fantastic. Highly recommend!
