First off Rochelle was awesome! Very nice and great smile. She was very attentive to my needs and everything was timed perfectly. Ordered side salad with house ranch and it was really good. Had the Honey chic stack. The chicken was breaded and seasoned really well. The pickle was really good as well. As far as the biscuit it was a little to dry for my liking. Overall experience was great. Atmosphere was good and very clean place! Oh and the house made chips are perfect!

First time in the Southern Deli but we will definitely return. I had the meatloaf salad and the wife had the Pajammy Sammy (with bologna). Both were unexpected and amazing. Staff was also super friendly. Highly recommended!

My wife and I had a fabulous meal yesterday. This restaurant makes food the way mamma used to make it. No bland, cardboard, frozen stuff here. I had fresh pasta shells in a spinach Alfredo sauce topped with huge grilled shrimp. The Alfredo was creamy and the grilled shrimp had a perfect little spice to it. My wife enjoyed oven roasted chicken on top of a wild rice with grilled broccoli. Both were excellent! Dessert was cubed brownie’s with a piped in peanut butter cream topping enhanced with peanut butter cups, fabulous! The tea is southern sweet, the atmosphere is bright and happy, and the staff is very attentive. This is by far the best meal we have had in any establishment in the last year. Make sure to look for the specials and don’t skip the deserts.

This is true, authentic, southern cooking! The food was all really good. My favorite entrée was the country fried pork cutlet. It was amazing! Appetizer-wise, we got fried green tomatoes, and quite frankly, I’ve never had better. Even the sweet tea at this place was remarkable. So many restaurants brew the tea really weak, and the sugar overpowers the flavor. This was perfectly balanced, strong and sweet tea.

Went there for the first time. Food was wonderful atmosphere was awesome. Thomas is one of the best servers we ever had. He was entertaining we didn’t have to ask for anything. He was there to service at all times. He practically ran that whole diner by himself. There was a young lady that was bringing out the food to help him out and she was just a sweetheart. She made sure to ask if we needed anything else, she was very helpful. And we are definitely going back and the next time we are going to try their breakfast

Awesome spot for lunch! We brought a group of 10 ladies here for lunch. The food was delicious and the service was top notch! Thomas was super efficient and friendly while putting up with our crazy bunch! Try the meatloaf, the crac Mac, and whatever the appetizer is that is piled on the homemade chips. Delicious!!!!

My hubby and I had the chance to try this place out. First, let me say that I am SO VERY HAPPY that this place decided to make their home in Apopka…. we need more mom and pops! Second, I am a southern girl. I was raised by two very southern grandmas and they would love the food and the atmosphere here. And they make REAL sweet tea! My hubby got the fish and chips and was very happy with his choice. I got a few things to try and enjoyed them all. I especially loved the fried green tomatoes. I have never been a fan of pimento cheese, but they have changed my mind. DELISH!!!! The veggies were seasoned perfectly and the Mac and cheese was rich and delicious. The staff was friendly and very quick. We will definitely be back to try other things on the menu! Please give them a try ASAP.

Just left Southern Deli 5 minutes ago & I was amazed by the atmosphere in the restaurant. Thomas has the absolute best service, which made my meal even better. It was my wife’s birthday and Thomas serenaded her by singing “Happy Birthday”. Best experience ever, with awesome customer service.
