This is a takeout review. All food is eaten promptly in the vehicle. I ordered meatballs, a pepperoni pizza, and a Grandma’s pizza. The meatballs were nicely done, solid but tender, and came in a nice sauce. The pepperoni pizza was very good. A nice crust with a very slight crisp and nicely chewy. A good ratio of cheese and sauce made for a very good food experience. The Grandma’s pizza was my favorite of the three. Very nicely done sauce, beautiful light and airy crust, an excellent food experience. On a scale from 0-10 I would rate this 9.1.

So TJ’s has been a long time fave of mine and my family’s. Sadly, a lot of their food has milk/dairy now so we can’t really go there much anymore. However, my husband and I went for our anniversary and had the best service from Catherine. She was so kind and attentive checking on quite literally everything I was going to eat. I am so paranoid about my lactose intolerance and she totally took it in stride. The cooking staff was gracious enough to let me create my own lactose free meal so that was pretty cool! Thank you TJ’s & Catherine for 5 star service. ps-my husband thoroughly enjoyed his Surf N Turf meal!

First time ever at TJ’s today for lunch. We will be going back! Nice outside seating in front of the restaurant (thank you for that) and nicely maintained. Friendly greeting on the way in and friendly wait staff, good food, selection and decent prices. Thus, five stars!

One of the best little secrets of Old Saybrook. This place has it all. If you want seafood, they have it. If you want American cuisine, they have it. Best thin crust pizza on the shoreline. Nick (owner) makes sure that you’re totally satisfied and the prices are excellent. Better get there early though as the place gets packed often.

Ordered a Mousaka pizza…paper thin crust..not Greek style at all…couldn’t tell if it was a pizza or a tortilla shell. Don’t think there was any eggplant on it at all. A small was 15 dollars..don’t mind paying more,I understand things went up but when you pay more for less your getting screwed twice. I’m done with them!!

If you want the best pizza on the shoreline then head over to TJ’S. They get it right every time. The dinners are fantastic and if you want a lite fare then get a salad and of course, the garlic knots are great. I highly recommend this place for whatever you’re craving including seafood.
