If you are looking for an authentic indonesian food then this is the place. The place is not far from downtown new haven. Nice asian decoration. Portion is big. We have try 5 of their menu and all of them was taste great and authentic Indonesian food.

Toka is a hidden gem in New Haven! The food is delicious, authentic, and beautifully presented. The staff is attentive and the owner, Wanda, is very friendly! I highly recommend the thai iced tea and buntut soup. Don’t forget to try their amazing desserts like the fried bananas. The atmosphere is cozy and perfect for a date night or a casual dinner with friends. I for sure will come back!

Pretty authentic Asian restaurant. I ordered laksa, bakso, and chicken satay. Everything was great and well seasoned. Bakso (meatball soup) tasted like home, laksa was spicy but tasty. Service was friendly.

I’m upset I didn’t give this place a chance sooner! The rock shrimp and beef mee goreng was great (beef was well seasoned and tender). Quite affordable and nicely decorated inside as well.

Satay and iced tea was good. However their main course were disappointing. Serving sizes were very small. Rendang was medicore at best and Katzu chicken doesn’t mean putting siracha on fried chicken annd serving it. Asked for a sauce, the server said no.

Found this gem in New Haven. They serve Indonesian and Asian fusion foods. Great food, wonderful owner, and beautiful ambiance. The nuance and food reminded me of my lovely home country. Hope this business thrives for years!

Wow, seriously impressed with our first time trying the Indonesian delights from this charming, albeit small restaurant in New Haven. Did take out orders of behoon goreng with beef and the classic beef rendang. Both were excellent. Will be back to try the food on site.

Stopped by this place for dinner as it was a nice easy walk from our place in East Rock. We were very pleased by the experience! The restaurant has a cozy feel inside, and our server was kind & attentive. Our favorite dish was the fried tofu appetizer, but our entrees were lovely as well. Definitely worth a try!
