I had a coupon for this restaurant so my husband and I decided to give it a try. We ordered the enchiladas and wow, they were absolutely delicious. The portion sizes were more than enough and the prices were also very reasonable for the amount of food given. Service was also fast and friendly. We’re definitely coming back in the future.

Food was good. Street tacos were amazing. Becareful the sauce was super spicy. Shrimp chicken was more on authentic side but end up using some of that taco sauce to bring in some kick to it.

Shout out to Lorena who suggested I try the street tacos. They did not disappoint. Now when I think of street tacos, I think cilantro, onion and jalapeno sauce so I was a tad bit skeptical to see the street tacos were filled with grilled pineapple and pickled onion with pineapple chimichuri. But….when in Rome right?

Thrilled that such a great little gem of a restaurant is within five minutes of our home. Literally walking distance! Have to admit that because it’s a small restaurant and not in a restaurant prime location, my expectations were not high for this place… so glad I was wrong because this place is the real deal for good salsa, excellent food and wonderful service! The fact that it is small and tucked in a little corner in our neighborhood is a bonus! The salsa was so delicious and addictive, couldn’t stop eating it! We had a combo plate and beef torta. Both meals nicely presented and tasted even better. I highly recommend and will definitely return. Their happy hour prices for margaritas are very fun priced and we can’t way to try them out!

Amazing and different take on street tacos in blue corn tortillas and pineapple in the tacos, not to mention the flavorful and spicy salsa included with the tacos. Well worth the visit. However, the service could be better, or perhaps the kitchen staff didn’t show up. Also, they should invest in bying out a neighbor in order to expand. With flavors like this, Tonati is gonna be HUGE! This is our new Friday Night Fiesta Fun Night with friends!

Been looking for a good Mexican restaurant around the Houston area. So far, this is my absolute favorite. It had that authentic Mexican feel and taste like you would get in a mom and pops restaurant in the valley, but with upgraded food presentation/appearance. Wait staff and owners are professional and accommodating. Would highly recommend this restaurant. Would absolutely go back again.
