One word review: yum! For Dunedin residents, the D-Town location has been a pit of despair since an excellent Chinese restaurant closed years ago. NO MORE! D-Town (which stands for Detroit, not Dunedin) has a winning combination of excellent foods, good adult beverage selections, prices that make it easy to be a regular, and good service (which is too often a rarity in Florida). We had fried pickle chips that were easily in the top 3 I’ve ever had, and a generous portion of grouper bites as an appetizer. Two of us got craft beers (House of Beer Pineapple Pale Ale, and New Holland’s Dragon Milk Stout). One of us made a special order adding a veggie burger patty to a regular burger which they accommodated without problem. The only off note was the Reuben which was only ok (the corned beef was meh and it needed more zip from the sauce and kraut). All the other entrees were excellent! They’ve done a good job with the building inside and out, with generous parking in the rear. Go! You’ll enjoy it!

I arrived to a comfortable clean restaraunt. From 2 to 7 they have domestic draft pints for $2. I ordered the all you can eat they have on Friday $12.95. It comes with beer battered fish (3 pieces to start along with fries and coleslaw. The coleslaw is lightly sweet with a hint of vinegar. Fish batter very tasty and crispy fries. Service was excellent. For dessert we shared a hot fudge cream puff. Unlike a normal cream puff filled with cream there’s has vanilla ice cream. The fudge is a lighter chocolate with a mild liqueur sort of flavor. It is Sanders hot fudge that is found normally in the Detroit area. We arrived at 4 and it was barely busy. By 5 it was very busy.

We have been to this restaurant several times over the past few years and each time our experience has been more disappointing. Today my husband and I ordered boneless wings, traditional wings, and an order of fried pickles. The fried pickles were soggy, burned, and the breading was all over the place. This was a to go order, but we picked it up before the scheduled time. As my husband began to eat the traditional wings, he noticed they smelled and tasted like fish. It was so bad we threw them out. The boneless wings were alright. D-Town did refund our money for the pickles. We love dining at all the small restaurants in Dunedin. The experience here was disappointing and we hope they will take these concerns into consideration and improve the quality of the food.

Legit Koegel coney dogs with seasoned fries and Faygo to drink. It was great! Ate while watching the Tigers. We started with large buffalo shrimp that was perfectly flavored.

Will give 3 stars with idea they are definitely capable of improvement. Very cool interior, clean. I did stop in later on a Friday so kitchen was closing soon. Had the 313 (mini) burgers. Tasted good. Bartender was very friendly. Only complaint. Do not let patrons at bar talk to Alexa to choose music! That was painful.

Nice restaurant and bar just outside the downtown area serving nice cold beer and drinks, and some good comfort food.

Still one of my favorite places to go. Great service, nice family owned restaurant, large portions and good prices. Try the Mini Beer and have Daryl make it!!

Worst dining experience of my life. Food was average. Waitress spilled buffalo sauce, chicken and bleu cheese on my face, hair, clothes. Dress shirt and tie are ruined. Suit needs dry cleaning. Waitress even took my salad away while I was cleaning up. I was kind and understanding with the waitress, reassuring her it’s ok that mistakes happen, but expect people to fix them. Manager was belligerent and confrontational for ‘making my waitress cry’. No offer to make anything right – not even comping me a drink. Lousy manager said ‘accidents happen, pay your full bill or I’ll call the cops’. Then invited my wife, kids and parents to ‘never come back’. Embarrassing and expensive dive on a 50 cent wing night. Too many good choices in Dunedin to waste aggravation here. Go somewhere that values customers and has better food. (Yes that’s buffalo sauce in my water. You should see my shirt…)

Somewhat surprised by some of the reviews. My photo says it all. That’s the D-Town Breakfast Slammer. Absolutely delicious. Made just the way I like it. The Bloody Mary was delicious and not weak like you get in some places. Our server, Chelsea, was fantastic. We never had to wait for coffee refills and they make a very tasty cup of coffee. The atmosphere was pleasant and the Detroit theme very pretty. My family was very pleased and raved about the food and service. Very reasonable prices. This will definitely be our new go-to place.

First time customer today and was extremely satisfied with this restaurant. The server was quite efficient and friendly. The menu contained many great selections and some wonderful specials. For instance, my daughter and I ordered the $5.00 burger! It was HUGE, with lettuce, tomato, onion, and pickle, on a delicious toasted bun and only $.75 for cheddar cheese…beats Red Robin hands down!!! We each ordered a bowl of their savory French onion soup, as well, and honestly it was the heartiest and tastiest French onion I have had anywhere. We ordered the chicken nuggets (real chunks of chicken breast) and mac ‘n cheese for the kids and they even loved everything, too! The server told us that the restaurant’s breakfast menu was amazing, so we are planning to come back for breakfast!!! We are really happy that a successful restaurant has finally found a home in that location. Don’t forget Taco Tuesday and $.50 Wings on Wednesday…with hits like these, you can’t go wrong!!!
