Veranda Kitchen & Bar is the newest member of Veranda’s family. Veranda Thai Cuisine based out of Portland opened up over a decade ago, serving mainly Thai Food. Veranda Noodle Bar, sister restaurant located directly across the street, served mainly Vietnamese Food. Veranda Noodle House based downtown Portland, is the best of both world, serving both Thai & Vietnamese Food.

Vietnamese & Thai Food makes extensive use of fresh herbs, spices, and aromatics. The herbs are used in steamy pot of pho, pronounced fuh, sometimes wrapped into spring rolls, and sometimes in the refreshing Bun-Vermicelli Noodle Salad.

Nice restaurant inside. Service is decent I suppose. The pho was also decent but I suggest not getting the flank. There was loads of fat which isn’t great for meat cooked that way. The beef fried rice was an absolute banger. Will be back for that for sure!

Like everywhere else they are short staffed. The one woman, Pat, handling orders, cleanup, bartending etc was amazing. Got everything correct and with a smile. Nice night for patio seating outside and great place to come with friends.

Dine In was a great experience. Food is fresh, large portions, and our waitress was super friendly. Sitting in the restaurant you are surrounded by paintings reminiscent of Thailand. Highly recommend!

The website says that 90% of their menu is gluten free. My family and I stopped there for dinner and was told that they didn’t know what was gluten free. The menu does not say and no knowledge by the server. Very disappointed in lack of service and knowledge. Didn’t order and we left.

On a raining Sunday, I came in to dine on with my Wife. Prompt and excellent customer service. There is a hard worker there his name is Nhat. he was multitasking from taking order, to answer phone being polite just excellent overall. The most important the food OMG it was delicious. We order Duck noodle soup, house large pho, spring roll, dumpling and crab Rangoon. Definitely will be back

Stopped by for takeout and had an excellent Mai Tai while we waited. Serving sizes were large, reasonable prices. Delicious pad thai and duck curry, perfectly cooked crab rangoons. Will definitely be back!
