I’ve been in Arizona for 30 years and just moved back. This is one of only two Mexican restaurants I’ve eaten at in the the whole state that were actually good. I order the same thing all the time, Burrito Verde and it’s excellent every time I get it. Oh and the mixed berry Margarita was fire

We enjoyed an order of fajitas and chicken rice soup. It’s was exactly as expected. If you’re craving Mexican menu in Des Moines, give them a try.

Our table was in the middle and there were only 5 of us. We had to wait a while before being asked our drinks. I was in the process of drinking my 2nd margarita when an employee came to our table with checks in her hand and said there was a party of 12 waiting for a table and wanted us to leave, even though she hated asking us. I’m upset about it as we are paying customers too and not my fault they were busy and had given us a big table. It was not handled well and I will not go back.

Excellent food! I had the fajita burrito. Huge portions! My friend had the chicken fajita and it was enough for 4 people!! The margaritas were so delicious and not weak! A real authentic margarita! We will definitely be back!!

I really enjoy this place. The food has always been good and the staff very friendly. Lately I feel they are a bit short handed as service has been a bit slower. I usually get the cocktail camarón which has quite a bit of shrimp and the shaker margaritas are excellent.

Are you hungry for a well seasoned steak with loads of flavor? Well this is the place. The prices are reasonable and the servers are phenomenal especially Fernando. He seems to be a people person who loves waiting on customers. The food is beyond delicious with just the right amount of authentic flavors—the chef did his job— give him a raise. So if you are in the neighborhood vente paca for lunch or dinner allowing the blend of Old Mexico to soothe your soul.

Four years ago I gave this restaurant 5 stars. We eat there maybe once every 4 months or so and the experience has been declining each and every time we give it another chance. From adding beef to a vegetarian meal (and then charging us for it because my son mistakenly ate some before realizing there was meat in part of it) to soggy tostadas. Tonight we got take out and the food tasted great (except soggy tostadas) but we noticed much less food/smaller portion sizes. A burrito we’d had before and were planning to split was suddenly half the size it used to be (pictured here, still the same $14 charge) and the enchiladas were much smaller yet still cost $15. I’m all for smaller portion sizes but not for the same price as the larger portions. $65 meal that left two of the four of us still hungry. Unfortunately, a previous family favorite now a restaurant to avoid.

Entered the restaurant and had had people seated before us. Wait staff then took a order from someone seated after our table. Seemed to have an attitude all the way round. Food was fine, but service lacking.
