Watami Sushi & Noodles is the best place in Waynesville to get seriously fresh sushi! All of our fish arrive fresh within hours of their catch, and our chefs are highly skilled professionals trained in the art of Japanese sushi and other Asian culinary specialties. We have a large selection of rolls, sushi, sashimi, and other dishes, including Pad Thai, Lo Mein, Teriyaki Dishes, and more. All are prepared fresh to order and are sure to please both your eyes and your palate!

My wife and I have been coming here for a while now, and we just had lunch today, and it was so good that I really wanted to share pics and comment on our server, Cameron. We have had him a couple of times, and every time, he has been so attentive and nice. He is very attentive but not hovering. He is nice but over talkative. He is exact. We have never had a mistake with him. We asked for roe on the side, and as you can see, it came out perfect. Thank you, we will be back many more times.

We went for a Sunday drive and ended up here. The inside is unassuming but the food is fantastic. The calamari was good but the sashimi cocktail appetizer was AMAZING! Whatever sauce they tossed it in was really good. We ordered 2 rolls to split and I accidentally ordered the wrong one, and I’m very glad I did. Shrimp tempura with Mango and lemon. A happy accident. We definitely will be adding this place to our list of regulars.

Watami has good sushi options. The portions are fine but a bit more of an expensive option in Waynesville. If you’re okay with that then give them a try the food is good. Plus the parking right next to the restaurant is very handy

Came for dinner and tried the general tso’s chicken, which was delicious. They serve a mixture of primarily Japanese and Chinese dishes including sushi, noodles, and the various Americanized Chinese staples. They do offer some Thai dishes, but sushi and Cantonese seem to be their specialties.

I drive over from Tennessee fairly often to eat here, it’s always been delicious! The sushi is fantastic, and artfully presented. The noodles are a delight, large fresh veggies throughout, and they aren’t skimpy with the proteins. In a convenient location in downtown Waynesville, NC. There is even a parking lot on the side of the building, so no worries about finding a place to park!

We went to the door and it was locked and almost left when we realized they had another door, they need a sign that says “enter to your right”. We walked in and the hostess had a mouth full of food and talked to us while chewing so we got a good view of her food (yuk). She lead us to the patio and we sat down, immediately our waitress and someone else came to get our drink order, then our food order was brought with no silverware but she caught it before we even noticed. She was very attentive and checked on us often. The food was fabulous! We will be back!
