Things that get an A+++ :customer service, location, cleanliness, wait time, presentation and decor. The food C since it was little off. I had the okra with yam fufu. The okra stew was missing something, possibly the crayfish, pepper or the fact that its not cooked with the meat. (I ordered chicken and normally Africans use the tough chicken however West hut uses a boiled unseasoned chicken breast). The fufu tasted watered down, almost like they used potato starch along with the yams. Basically, the food I had tasted like someone tried to make an healthier version of the African dish. I believe they know their audience so I understand why this was done. This place is great if you have never had West African food before and want to try it. However if you are like me and was raised with Africans you will be a little disappointed. I plan on visiting again and trying pepper soup.

My 14 year old son had been to West Hut three times already and raved about it, so we decided to go check it out. The flavors were definitely unique and delicious. We mostly eat just plant based, so the two entrees (The West Hut and the Groundnut Delight) we ordered didn’t have any meat, and I felt like there could have been more veggies given that we didn’t have any meat. I felt like they just omitted the meat but didn’t put extra veg even though we asked for it. My son had the meat patty (which is a meat pie)and said it was fantastic. I tried the sauce that accompanied it and it was EXTREMELY spicy!! Lol The ambience was fine. Casual, low key cool and modern. The only thing that was not great about our experience was how slow it took for the food to come out. We waited an hour for our entrees and there were a couple of guys that were there before us, who didn’t get their food until after we did. Our server was great. She was attentive and apologetic about the food not being ready yet. The slowness of the kitchen service would be a deterrent for me considering going back again. Definitely get appetizers to tide you over until the entrees come out.

I recommend trying their Spicy Goat Soup and Okra Go Follow – both dishes were delicious and packed with flavor.

It was my first time to be in Nigerian restaurant -and it didn’t disappoint me. The food is delicious. We ordered a spicy soup along fish – it worth it. The service is however a bit slow and they need some training.

Visited for the first time on Sun 8/27. The place is very clean, customer service a bit slow but very kind servers. The food was delicious, not so much for the cocktails. My friend had to exchange 2 drinks. They had a live DJ playing and we stayed till close time. We had such an amazing time!!!

My sister and I went to this restaurant yesterday. Food was amazing! Very flavorful, big portions, and quick service. The waitress who helped us was so kind and so professional. We had kids with us and she engaged with them every time she came around. It was such a great experience and we will definitely be back! We will also be recommending this place to friends and family. 🙂

The first time I went I was serviced by the lovely Dienna! She made sure I was set. I got the spicy goat soup. It was spicy yet flavorful. Today I got some food for my mother and I.
