I am beyond mad at this restaurant. I purchased a gift certificate for a friend about 14 months ago as a Christmas gift. He tried to redeem it this weekend and it was refused, saying it was too old! It feels like this restaurant stole from both of us. According to the law, a gift certificate purchased in NC is good for a minimum of 5 years. If there is no expiry listed, then it is good in perpetuity. I will not trust this restaurant again. They have lost the business of at least 2 families. Shame on them.

Bummed, I used to really like this place, but this is gross. There are so many canned wet veggies on here that the crust is soggy. We literally just threw the entire thing away. The box is even soaking.

The Whitaker Square Pizza experience.. Once my Friday and Saturday night fix for pizza has now become my weekday meal stop. Why wait till the weekend for pizza, wings, or a nice caprese salad when the food taste good ☺.

Delicious pizza and fantastic service! EDIT: I’ve been getting pizzas here for almost a year and haven’t had a bad experience yet. The friendly staff greet me when I arrive and apply discounts to my order even when I don’t know the coupon exists. Whenever I share a Whitaker Square pizza with my friends, they all want to know where it comes from! Everyone agrees the pizza is better than nearby competitors. I recommend any pizza with breaded chicken (e.g. vodka sauce, parmigiano, etc)–very flavorful!

First time ordering here tonight and ordered a Stromboli with mushrooms black olives and artichokes when eating it I noticed a fish smell coming from it. So after opening it I noticed a fish like substance with some sort of hair in the Stromboli. After calling the restaurant to talk to them bout it they were super rude stating they knew what they made like I was lying. Will never eat here again. Great experience with Whitaker! I was ordering for a sizeable event on a college campus, and was able to order in advance and get consultation on how *much* to order for anticipated numbers. The delivery staff was right on time, had no problem locating our rather complicated location, and carried our order inside to where I was setting up. Pizza was a hit–will definitely be using in the future!

The crust was good but the pizza is overrated to me. I gave them a try twice, complete fail. This is the 1st day(veggie slice) was extremely greasy I couldn’t even finish it. No pics of the 2nd day (cheese and spinach & artichoke slices) they were better than the first but still not impressed.

I love the pizza at this place but I will likely still be going to Burke St in the future as they consistenly offer slices to-go. The last few times I’ve tried to get slices at Whitaker Sq they are almost out or already out with no plans to make more and I usually go around 5ish before heavy dinner rush. Again the pizza is immaculate but I dont want to get a whole pizza for myself and thats usually my only option.

I used Whitaker Square to cater an event for 20 people and could not have been more pleased. Their food was delicious, portions were huge, they were on time, everything was accurate, loved that they offer gluten free options, and I could go on and on. I will definitely add them to my list of go-to restaurants both personally and for professional catering needs!
