I’m far from being a Korean beef bone soup expert… a lot of the white soups taste the same since you “season” it yourself. So I usually go back to places that offer other dishes that are good to accompany my soup. I live in Los Angeles, there are PLENTY of places to get Seolleongtang, so why do I come here? Well, because my senior dog LOVES the #7 (Beef Bone Soup with Brisket, Oxtail, Ox Knee, Cheek and Shank Meat). He doesn’t eat well and adding bone soup helps him but I’ve tried several different places and this is the one he will eat consistently. SO now make the 1 – 2 hr drive down to Irvine to get this soup… I used to go to the San Diego location.

Yep, officially one of the worst Korean meals I’ve had in CA. Got the oxtail soup and for $19.99 I got the thinnest slices of oxtail I’ve seen in my life. Very poor quality kimchi (the napa was stringy and somehow tough while still being underripe). There was barely any meat to the thin slices of bone and you could tell they didn’t even stew it long enough because the meat didn’t fall off the bone… Not to mention, I got old rice because the top layer of it was dry and yellowish. Huge waste of money.

I would give it 0 stars if I could. Ordered beef bone soup with mixed meat. It was literally 4 very small, thin slices of meat and 2 small pieces of tendon with about 1/8 cup of noodles. It was definitely not what the picture depicted on the menu. Not worth $16.99+tax.

The kimchi for the side dishes were too ripe. Inedible and super sour. They should make soup with those instead of serving as a side. Food came out within 10 minutes.
