It is music to my palate, when you come to Zarri’s and find in the simplicity of a local store , the quality that fully satisfies you. I had an amazing Tuna Melt with Fontina. The texture contrast between the bread and the contents was superb. The tuna contents where full of flavor!

It’s been a while since I’ve last been in. I would come to Zarri’s at least once a week back in the 80’s when in high school then intermittently after I left town and would visit from time to time.

Great, straight-forward, old fashioned deli. I’ve been coming here since 1983 and still love the regular deli sandwiches which seem more difficult to find.

So I’ll start by saying I really, really try my best to give unbiased, factual reviews. With that said, Zarri’s has unfortunately fallen to the wayside over the years. I’m giving three stars just due to the fact I have fond memories of coming here when I was younger. I really wish I could give them a better review, however, there are some things seriously lacking in their approach and in the products they offer for sell.

The staff is always friendly, good always delicious, prices just right. Best sandwiches in Albany and all of Solano Ave. I don’t live to close but it’s totally worth the drive.

Had a delicious hot Cuban sandwich from there. Really nice, friendly staff as well. I’m going to get their meatball sub next time. It looked even better.

At last a tast of the past. Food that my grandfather used to enjoy when he ate fresh Italian sandwiches here 100 years ago.
