I’m limited on what I can eat, so I figured a grilled chicken salad. I omitted the cheese and the fried onions. My son got 10 piece chicken and it came out to 20.08. I gave them 100.08 so i should have received $80 right??? Nope they gave my like $78 and some change and he even ask his co worker how much change i was get. I was like no this change is wrong so he fixed it…we get our food and go home. I got like 4 little pieces of chicken… They still put the cheese in it, and the container was barely full. This is hardly worth $10 if you ask me. One of my salad dressings was open and was everywhere…my kids love this place so they can go… but unfortunately I will not be ordering from them again. So disappointing

8/6/23 My son went inside Zaxby’s to place an order for 2 salads (grilled house and fried Cobb). He said there were people in line and it took the workers 10-15 minutes to take their orders. Once my son returned home, the orders were all screwed up. The grilled and fried chicken were swapped, the onion crisps were stall, my son got to almost the end of consuming his salad when he found a short black hair (from someone’s beard perhaps) and the lettuce on the salads were black and withered. We were very disappointed be cause that Zaxby’s is in a prime location and I know people patronize it so service should be better!! I do not enjoy giving bad reviews but this deserves it. When your workers have to be told with customers in the dining area to clock out if you’re not going to work there’s a problem… The cashier was friendly but the food was meh. I was excited for the funnel cake and what I got was a crispy fried mess. I appreciate the kid that brought our food was polite and asked if our order was correct and if we needed anything else he seemed like the only one with his head on his shoulders that day. Probably won’t be back sorry.

Kenzie and Maribell were absolutely running the entire front of the house today! I just left this location and was more than satisfied the second I walked into the restaurant. They were attentive, personable, and helpful- a few things that are rare to find in the service industry, especially in Durham. Thank you ladies for making a lasting impression! Be careful when you order from here, I’ve ordered a boneless wing meal, and for some reason these people add the “and things” instead which is a bit more expensive. I told them exactly what I wanted clarifying only the wing meal and yet they’re doing some kind of upselling to charge me extra for something I didnt want. Make sure to check your recipts. I will not be returning to a place that steals your money.

The food here is always super wonderfully, hot and fresh. The staff are very friendly. The area is a little busy though and right on roxboro road that’s why I rated the atmosphere three stars. More trees in the area would help to reduce the traffic noise. North Carolina and the United States in general need to work on designing cities that are more accessible to bikers and pedestrians and less accessible to cars.

Update: I was contacted by Kevin who offered me a refund or another order of egg rolls. I was told they were getting another supply and that I’d be able to get the order today. I chose to get the egg rolls. I had no problem going inside to receive my order and the same polite worker that helped me yesterday, helped me today. The egg rolls are really good with the sweet and spicy sauce! Thank you Kevin for your help!
