Wonderful food as always… never been disappointed. This review is based on my experience of Tuesday night, 7/18/2023. I didn’t givethem five stars because I’m very annoyed that they do not inform you BEFORE you lay down your credit card and have it processed that there is an approximately five percent credit card convenience fee! It’s that….and that alone, at least in my book, that warrants a one star at minimum demerit from the overall food rating. I think the owner would do well just doing away with the credit card processing fee. I had more than enough cash with me that night and had I known the credit card fee was gonna be five percent…. I would have just forked over the cash. Maybe Dave Ramsey’s cash system (which I basically agree with in terms of budgeting)…. is starting to affect a lot of businesses and how they look at credit card transactions?

The older ‘uncle’ has driven me away from this place. Used to be very good food, great customer service. The uncle working the register would take an order, get it wrong, then argue with me that I didn’t know what I was doing. And, the prices never added up to what I was charged, like he was pocketing the extra money, and not ringing it in. We went through this a several times, and have not been back since.

My spouse and I have had food from Athena Grill in the past, either takeout or delivery (I don’t remember which) and I’ve always loved the food. On Saturday, we went inside to get some baklava and spanikopita to go as a little gift for someone else. We were very charmed by the inside, it’s so endearing. I felt like I got to spend five minutes in Greece. The photos on the walls are stunning, and I plan to go back VERY soon to sit inside, eat a leisurely lunch and enjoy the space. Also, my MIL said the spanikopita was the best she’s ever had!

Really good, reasonably priced food. Hummus was fantastic. Gyro was delicious. Chicken souvlaki was moist and flavorful. Calamari was pretty rubbery though, wouldn’t order again–but would return to this Super friendly family-run place.

This place is a gem! The flavors of the fresh food are amazing. The gyro sandwich and platters are delicious, as are the chicken kabobs and crispy french fries. The sauces are fresh and add a wonderful touch. It’s a great small business that’s worth a visit- not fancy or expensive, but just right.
