Overall the food is really good and I really do like this place.. However they are super expensive and they are very stingy on products.. You order a large pizza for twenty plus dollars and you get not even half a meatball on your pizza. Or you get like eight pepperoni on your large pizza that cost 23.bucks. Also if you get delivery there is a eight dollar delivery charge plus you have to tip the delivery Driver so it cost you 20 to get it delivered on top of a 25 dollar pie..

Been there twice for takeout. First time the several pies we bought were good. No problems. We ordered another bunch of pies a few days ago when friends came to town. Different story. The pies were cold, the crusts hard and the toppings dried out and sparse. Barely edible. We won’t be returning. NEXT?

Been going to Athens for the past three months I usually get pizza every two weeks but this time was very disappointing I ordered half sausage and peppers and half meatball an ricotta. I’m from New York and I have been making pizzas since I was 14 years old and also working in authentic Italian restaurants all my life, as a cook / chef! So I know my pizza lol.. this right hear ? What would you call this? Busy or not always make sure what you offer is the best of your ability before it leaves the restaurant.. literally looks like they only put meatballs and ricotta on half but forgot to put the sausage and peppers on the other half hense that’s why the unmelted cheese is a different color than the rest of the pie.. smh Also all the toppings are not on the whole pizza looks like I ordered a quarter sausage and peppers a quarter meatball ricotta and the other half cheese..

We’ve been coming here for years. Last 2 times had problems. The gyro comes out with no tomatoes. The eggplant is slack. The put the cheese on the bottom of the eggplant. We asked for meat sauce, got marinara which tasted like it was from a jar. The bruchetta was cut tomatoes, bread and melted mozzarella cheese. That’s it. Won’t be back. They just don’t care anymore.

Ordered food here many times. Last time we were given the wrong order. Called them and told them we got the wrong order and we lived too far to come back and the girl said she was writing my name down and giving us a 30 dollar credit. Called in an order the next weekend and they knew nothing about our credit. Won’t be ordering food there any more. Honestly is the best policy to have in any business

We stopped in between lunch and dinner for something to eat. Everything was clean and welcoming. Our server greeted us kindly, gave us menus and took our drink order. We chose the Greek salad and a meatball and cheese sub. They were delicious.

Been going since I was a kid, maybe 30 years or so. Do yourself a favor. Italian hoagie, all the way and a Greek salad. The best in town. I never feel at home again till I have it!

Have loved the Greek pizza for many years. Ordered frequently when I lived in the area but less frequently since I loved to the Market Common area. With all the choices close by I still enjoy the Greek Pizza and Hero the best but will be looking for another favorite spot. Tonight we waited a hour and a half for a pizza that we were told twice (in 30 min intervals) that our pizza was on the way. We finally called and asked for a refund because it never arrived. The time before the pizza crust was doughy in the center. What a shame as this place use to be outstanding.

Don’t bother going here if your used to real Italian food. These people have no idea how to make Italian food I guess because they are Greek. The worst meatball parm and eggplant parm we had. There was no sauce on either sandwich. Same for pizza. Not good at all

Athens has been a staple of the socastee community for as long as I can remember (30+ years?). It has always been good. Quaint little family run store. Nothing fancy…just good.
