We used to love this place but yesterday (6/23/2023) our card information was compromised here. The male cashier was being weird & the older Hispanic lady had to come over and to make sure he swiped out card at the counter top machine. Now we know why he was being all shady trying to do something with our card under the register

Food tasted but my beef and broccoli was cold. Not warm but cold. My general tso was so old the chicken inside shrunk . Only reason I gave 2 star because I like the noodles they used for the chow mein.

Food is decent. Although they didn’t have orange chicken and a few other items from the looks of the empty trays. The reason for 2 star rating is that the old hag serving me was rude and had a bad really bad attitude. I asked for half and half, she gave me just rice, then I noticed after she had moved from that section and I kindly asked for chow mein and she gave me a really bad attitude about it. Be more professional please. If I go again, hope she’s not serving me or hope she has a better attitude.

Overpriced food that is cold and under prepared. The rice is atrocious. The Bourbon chicken is basically charcoal. Skip this place and save your money!

Yesterday I went and bought 3 plates for me and my parents. By the time I got home it was hard for me to go back to the place . To returned ans get a refund . And it sucks that they serve nasty stinky rice and veggies to customer’s. Wonder how many bought that yesterday. I got sick from my stomach and parents. It wasn’t cheap $26 They cashier Jesus said they make the rice fresh daily. So guys be careful ask before to see if it’s really fresh. Never going back

Came by to Bassett Place to grab a quick lunch in the vicinity. I decided on Chinese Gourmet Express. The selection might be minimal, but do not let that prevent you eating here. The food is excellent and the customer service was even more impressive compared to the others here in the food court. I always get the classic favorites when I eat Chinese takeout. They are: Orange Chicken, Beef and Broccoli and the Lo Mein. The food might look basic or mundane, but again, do not let that fool you. It was piping hot (temperature-wise) and busting with flavor. Only thing that I have against this place, which is not their fault is the Bassett property owners really need to double down and reinvest in this property. This place is needs new amenities and fixtures to modernize this mall. You keep going down this road, it is going to be a Sunland Park and literally become a ghost town. It is not fair to assume that you have the large nationwide tenants Target, Costco and Dave & Buster’s to be only draw here.
