It’s not often you walk in to a place and feel at home. Fable & Fire immediately comforts & relaxes you just walking through the door. My husband and I came in for coffee and stayed for brunch! I’m so happy we did. As a first time visitor, the atmosphere of the Saturday brunch with live piano music and quiet sounds of the restaurant, along with the smell of a bookstore, set the perfect stage to transport my soul to a place of comfort, not found in hospitality/restaurants these days. I’ll certainly be back, it might even be tomorrow! What a gem in the downtown Rockwall square! Courtney our server was spectacular (on her first day), and I left gleaming at my experience. Beginning to end, coffee (Candied Nut Latte) and food were fantastic. The French toast is just like you remember from home. Crispy yet soft, and flavorful topped with fresh strawberries, walnuts & bananas. The potatoes with my husbands eggs were perfectly crisp and seasoned. The interior design of this restaurant flows so well. Nothing’s out of place. It’s 100% uniquely quaint. I love the charm I experienced here. I don’t know why I haven’t come by sooner. I’ll be back time and time again. You NEED to visit. Tell Eduardo that Connie sent you! It won’t disappoint. I can’t wait to go back to my new favorite spot!

This place is a true gem! Been here twice and loved it each time. The atmosphere is really great, the live music is perfect, amd the service is excellent. The food? Outstanding! High quality ingredients prepared to perfection by the chefs, who obviously know what they’re doing. We’ll be back!

I love everything about this place. First time today (lunch) and someone’s playing live music. I think happens on Saturdays only. Good food and friendly crew. The place is beautifully decorated with books. Ordered shrimp grit, classic benedict with smoked salmon and fried artichoke for starters. Didn’t disappoint. They served brunch menu until 3pm. Closed for 1hr then kitchen reopens at 4pm. Will definitely comeback.

Visited Rockwall area in January and loved that there was a cafe like Fable & Fire. Definitely a great addition to the area, they need more like this! Loved the design and decor.

What great place! We arrived for an early dinner so we could peruse the books after. The food was awesome, staff is attentive, and the atmosphere was perfect for a Saturday evening.

This place has such a cool vibe! The little bookstore has lots of interesting titles to choose from. The dining area is very comfy and the staff is friendly and helpful. The full service dining is pretty fancy – perfect for a celebration. I’m a vegetarian and there aren’t many options but the breakfast sandwich I had was good. My herbal tea was super yummy. When you go here, please visit the bathroom – so fun!

Loved the new space, the vibe, decor, outdoor eating area and the food was delicious! You can still tell they are working the early opening jitters out… For example: the menu said the sandwich would have a tomato but there wasn’t any, the beer menu had the right brewery but the wrong style of beer, etc. And they only have 1 toilet for the guys and some A-hole didn’t lift the seat and wasn’t a good shot. Still giving this one 5 Stars because the staff was very friendly, food was tasty and space was very fun… hope they figure the other things out.

I think this restaurant has potential. I enjoyed the atmosphere, service, and coffee during my visit, but the food during brunch could use improvement. I had eggs over easy and one of my eggs was cooked completely through. My breakfast potatoes were cold when they reached my table. I love the addition to downtown and based on my experience I would be willing to give it another shot!

Expected more!!! The location was beautiful, but the pastries were average. We tried the cinnamon roll and chocolate croissant and they were both hard to eat.
