Definitely not up to par with good fried chicken. Hardly any seasoning, dirty restaurant, hot after being outside in the heat I don’t want to sit and sweat eating chicken. Just not all that. Don’t know where all of the good reviews come from

I’m just getting to my review. Anyway, I went to Fat Alberts a few months back. I ordered a box of chicken and the sides. However, once I pulled out a piece of chicken I realized it was cold. It was also lacking ‘something’ in the taste. I brought it back and they didn’t want to give me my money back. I asked for the manager and the lady whispered, “It’s not owned by the same people and they don’t want to give you your money back. I asked were the owners there? She went and got an Asian lady.

Really get your money’s worth and some. Tried the shrimp with a small order of catfish…Hubby tried wing combo. Food was well seasoned and served hot. Staff was very polite which is always a plus….

Ordered two thighs and while the chicken wasn’t dry, it tasted like it had been cooked in six-day old grease. The biscuit was old and chewy. A child (8-10 year old?) took my order and money. (Is that even legal?) The floor was sticky. Considering I was the only customer on the premises at the time, yes, my order came out quickly. It’s a far cry from the Fat Albert’s I knew from years ago.

1st of all, I called to ask a question and place an order as I was leaving my home in CARENCRO!! Sherry answered the phone and IMMEDIATELY put me on hold. I arrived at the establishment 15 minutes later, still on hold. There wasn’t a single customer there. 2ndly, an 8 year old approached me when I got to the counter asking to take my order. (Aren’t there child labor laws against that!!??) I proceeded to ask for a manager since I was still on hold. The child advised me that the manager is gone for a month. A man FINALLY stood up from his seat behind the counter but he didn’t speak English. I explained that I had been on hold for 15 minutes and they may actually have customers if they took the time to take the orders…he just smiled and the child said, “Oh, that must have been Sherry.” Of course, Sherry was no where to be seen. I then walked out. Horrible service!!!

I should have tried the chicken. Catfish was small cut up nuggets and the tarter sauce was old and smelled like straight vinegar. Mashed potatoes was probably instant box potatoes. They were runny and I guess inflation had them serving bite-sized rolls. Not worth the price. Stick to Popeyes Chicken.
