Modern American cuisine in the heart of downtown Pittsburgh. The interior is very stylish and embraces the city. We loved the cocktails and the food was great. It’s pretty update but totally worth it. The agnolotti were definitely freshly made, one could absolutely taste that. Dessert options were great but we had no room left. Will definitely come again.

We enjoyed our dinner at FL.2! First, the atmosphere is beautiful. Modern, beautiful decor, amazing lighting, and an open kitchen! The food was delicious, and the presentation was lovely. The serving sizes are more than enough. We enjoyed the lobster and halibut. We ended the meal with maple cheesecake!

I took my husband here for his 31st birthday as it has been on our list for quite some time. The ambiance of fl.2 is very romantic and chic with the open view into the kitchen. The bar is also stunning in gold decor and it overlooks the city. Since the kitchen is open it does allow you to watch the kitchen staff, which we enjoyed since we are big at home chefs. The staff member who we assumed to be the head chef plating food was chewing gum while doing so and it caught us by surprise… If you watched him it was easy to notice his knife skills were very poor which immediately had me questioning our restaurant choice. It was very disappointing they served our appetizer before our drinks as it did not set the tone for the dinner. The service from the bar is so slow it does disrupt the meal. I ordered the lobster gnudi and pulled out three shells that made it into my sauce, which was also very disappointing. We enjoyed the sangria and espresso martini and the burrata appetizer was very tasty. The joe 2.0 cocktail for $20 was not great. Taylor, our waitress, was lovely and she did a great job at explaining the menu in detail to us and serving us to the capabilities the restaurant would allow. Overall I feel strongly the restaurant service, food quality, and ambiance should reflect the prices on the menu and they were very off base. I hope to see fl.2 step up to the level they are trying to set their bar at in the future.

The food needs to be done better. Ordered the corn bisque when I say bland that’s an under statement. Also got a melon mimosa had to order a bit of simple syrup because it was too bitter. My daughter also went on a separate visit and text that the food was terrible and she had to send her drink back because it was nasty. Upscale does not mean bland and terrible.

Haven’t even left the restaurant and I’m dying to write a review. We ordered the mussels, steak tartar, cacio e Pepe, and halibut. The mussels were cold (the manager did comp), and we watched our entrees sit in the food window for 15+ minutes while they got cold. They did remake them, but at that point, the experience was lost. Our $28 menu list bottle of wine was $80 on our check, but retails for $14.99.

Absolutely loved this place. My boyfriend and I stopped in for brunch during a Steelers game so it was empty. The food was outstanding and great to photograph. I ordered avocado toast and he had the lobster eggs benedict then we ordered a giant cinnamon roll to share along with some specialty drinks. The atmosphere and design is beautiful as well as being able to see into the kitchen. The staff was the best experience we had! They knew the menu really well and were some of the nicest staff I have seen in a restaurant. Stop by for brunch!

This was our first time eating at this restaurant. Could not have been a better experience. We were there on Valentine’s Day, with a reservation of course, and they were quite busy. At no point did we feel pushed to complete our meal so they could use our table.

I changed my review just recently (6/29/1023) after one of the most lackluster dinners I’ve been served in a long time. The only reason why there are so many stars was because of the service. I’m not sure how the “chefs” sleep at night, “cooking” the way they did this evening. I wasn’t expecting a juggling act, but the lack of any effort at all (knowing it was an anniversary dinner or no) is surprising. It didn’t seem like anyone cared about anything coming out of the kitchen. My wife and I did not finish our dinners. The complimentary shot-glass size of champagne was hardly enough to compensate for the very-less-than-delicious food. 2.5 out of 5, would not recommend.
