The heaviest door I’ve pushed and pulled to get in and get out of entered my life.

Came for a 12:30pm lunch when it was slow and casual. We were graciously greeted and service was delightful. Attentive yet not overbearing when the opportunity was definitely available.

While I respect the opinions of other reviewers, I must admit that my experience at this restaurant left me perplexed. What were we missing that everyone’s raving about? Although the ambience and service were satisfactory, I found the food to be deeply disappointing, to say the least. It was quite underwhelming and even laughable, especially considering the price point. As enthusiasts of French cuisine, my partner and I had high expectations, fueled by the restaurant’s ratings and glowing reviews. Unfortunately, the brouillade lacked the expected depth of flavor, resembling bland egg goo. The pancake showed a lack of effort, being overly buttered, dense, and uninteresting. The grilled fish suffered from a similar lack of flavor. The only saving grace were the delicious baguettes. Overall, it was a truly disheartening experience.

Nice French style restaurant. Had an excellent meal. Thought it was a little pricey, but I was still happy with the overall experience.

I went to Frenchette with one of my usual groups. The space was nice and the service was friendly with good suggestions. I ordered a cocktail and the waiter came back and said that the menu had unfortunately changed and told me the current selections also saying that I could try a drink first to see if I like it which was very nice. I got the One Way Street with cognac, pineau, and golden raisin to drink. This was a delicious with a cognac base and good fruity elements but not overly sweet and I would recommend it.

This is one of my favorite rustic French restaurants in NYC, and I’m not alone, judging from the crowds that regularly descend on this unassuming spot. Many dishes are served family style, and although the food is unpretentious, everything is executed to a very high standard and delicious. Servers are extremely friendly, and show a unique interest in the details of the culinary operation, which is nice. Wine list is full of quality French selections from what seems everywhere but Bordeaux, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing. Great for a mid-week or casual weekend dinner.

Incredible ambiance, a+ little date spot and convenient location. Jonathan at the bar was incredibly insightful into the menu, especially for a very indecisive group. Drink recommendations were perfect and they tasted even better than he described them. The forever in greene(or something like that) drink was amazing, all of the drinks we tried were wonderful. The star of the show was definitely the Joues de Porc and the Duck Frites! Gnocchi pasta was honorable mention too, but the pork and duck just left us drooling. Will be back!!

A less pretentious French restaurant. The vibe was chill and the serving is value for money. The steak though is a bit too flavorful for my liking but overall, the place is quite chill. Too chill in fact that it made me wonder what is the hype all about.

I’ve seen some mixed reviews for Frenchette, but my experience was tremendous. From the service to the food, everything was spectacular.
