We’re so glad that we had an opportunity to try Gai Chicken Rice whole visiting San Francisco. We tried their Original Gai (with Chicken Rice and Hainan Ginger/Onion Sauce) and Thai Iced Tea. Came here for lunch during the weekday. I ordered the Original Gai chicken rice. The service was quick. The chicken rice was delicious. The meat was juicy and tender. And I love the Hainan sauce. Will definitely go back there again!!

Came at the suggestion of a coworker when I told them of my love of dandan noodles. They were indeed really good here – expensive but that’s SF for you sadly. Portion big enough for a hearty meal. The meat is ground chicken but it’s an excellent substitute for pork. Very well made overall. Only suggestion would be to include some chili oil – it came with a little container of sriracha but that’s not quite the same. Will certainly come back and next time ask if they have chili oil.
