I had the tenderloin sandwich, my son had a bacon cheeseburger. 1 cook, 1 waitress. A little crowded. The food took about 20mins and it was delicious! Melissa was really nice. The folk’s that give this place a bad review, probably just had a bad day.

Probably one of the best “fast food” type burgers available. Atmosphere is very casual. Frequented by locals and by those spending a day at the lake. This place is half grocery store and half bar and grill. Definitely a “dive” bar feel – in a good way. There’s a small bar top, along with booth and table seating.

This epitomizes “hole-in-the-wall.” It is off the beaten path (no cell phone coverage inside) but well worth it!! It is no frills with basic burgers that are greasy and tasty. Be warned: they only accept cash. And if you go in the summer time, it may take a while to get your burger as they only have a small grill. Also be warned: they use peanut oil for their fried foods.

Been going here since I was a kid and out of all the burgers I’ve had at bar & grills, Green Gables has some of the best. Simple, no frills…Just really good food. You certainly won’t go home hungry after eating here. Excited for their new burger challenge as well. I’ll definitely have to take it on the next time I eat out there. If you’re looking for a local food joint with friendly staff to sit down and have a good, filling meal, then I highly recommend stopping here.

8/2021 UPDATE: Cheeseburger as good as ever, service was WAY better than previous years, all employees working together is great to see. And we STILL love coming here for a great cheesburger & Fries and cold beer. Way to go — new owners?
