Gyros Stop has been a staple in Springfield, Illinois since 1984. specializing in Greek-American cuisine. It was started by the Christofilakos family and is still currently family owned and operated.

So mixed feelings about this place. I loved the Baklava (both pecan and chocolate) but the gyro(chicken and veg) were not good. Extra toppings on gyros could be cheaper. Onion rings tasted like they were straight out of freezer and served cold. This was my first time ordering here but I’ll surely order again.

First time using this location instead of Monroe. Popcorn chicken is burnt and mostly breading, forgot 25% of order and the rest is all cold. I was there 8 minutes early to pickup so it would have been worse
