I ordered the birria tacos and they were a little dry. Not my best taco experience but the staff is nice place is clean with easy parking. The rice was amazing though. I enjoyed the chips and salsa but I wish they had better salsa selections most of them didn’t really pop with flavor like I’ve had from other restaurants.

My daughter has been patronizing this establishment for a while now, however, I had never been. She had a Birria Burrito special and raved to me about it because I LOVE anything birria! Well, I took her advice and made the call for the Birria Burrito Special! Although it was not the same that she had, it did not disappoint. The meat was perfectly seasoned and the consome that was over the burrito was DELICIOUS! It comes with onions and Cilantro on top, I opted for them to be on the side and it worked out great. My other daughter decided to taste it as well and she too was in love! We both agreed that it was the best birria meat that we’ve had! We will definitely be back for more!!!

2022-07: My experience with La Cocina del Rey is through a third party delivery service, but my review is based solely on the restaurant/food. I ordered Mito’s Burrito, some extra chips and salsa (with regular salsa and mango salsa), and some Pico de Gallo. The chips and salsa were yummy. The mango salsa was a nice balance of flavors with great texture. The pico was fresh and was also balanced well, with just the right kick of heat. My burrito arrived hot and was stuffed with the ingredients. Very tasty and hit the spot.

The food was decent but different than the “typical” Mexican food I am used to. But this is not necessarily bad just unexpected. No sizzling hot skillets when you order the fajitas. The salsa bar kind of through me – with covid still being a concern, but it is not like you have to use it. One patron near me had brought his own bag of corn chips, but the ones I was served were as good as any I have had. I think the place is worth checking out.

Our family loves this place. It legit never disappoints. All of the staff are amazing whether it’s a to go order or a dine in. Their salsa bar is amazing. Real Mexican at a great price. The barbacoa is to die for. Kids never complain about going here!!
