I ordered a beef and onion burek with yogurt and it was wonderful. My friend ordered a sample platter and I also tried one of his cevapi sausages and a single bite of some of the other meats. I was originally going to order two items for some variety but the woman handling the orders warned me that the portions were very large. She wasn’t kidding and I’m glad I only ordered the burek and shared! The portions are very generous for the price compared to some other restaurants I’ve visited before. Their cevapi was some of the best tasting sausage I’ve ever had. I almost regretted not ordering them instead but the burek was worth it too. I was too full to try any of their confections but they looked very appealing, maybe during a future visit? I’m not from the area so it will be a long time but I’m looking forward to it in any case!

By far, the BEST Serbian and Balkan food in the Midwest. We moved to St.Louis last year, and would routinely bring back food from Lazic Deli when visiting Chicago. All dishes are authentic, freshly prepared, tasty and of the highest quality. The owner, Alek Lazic, makes every customer feel special and is always willing to go the extra mile.
