When they first came to town, we ordered Pizzas, spent about 60 dollars. it was Excellent .. the next visit the pizzas were not cooked properly we were all sick for a couple of days crust not cooked it was doughy was awful. it has been several months so we decided to try it Thursday night.. we all got sick again dough not cooked… which leaves you to wonder if everything else was cooked well enough. we wont be going back. Horrible experiences

The workers are friendly and look like their trying, but they were getting orders wrong, left and right, including mine twice. I didn’t even say anything to them the second time. But other than the mess ups, the pizza wasn’t burnt or undercooked, and they did taste good so I will try them again. Just have to make sure I spell the order out for them and check it twice.

Absolutely the same experience as noted here by other 1 star reviewers. Sad. I was so excited it had come back to town. This was my 2nd try. At the looks of these reviews, it may not even be around for us to give it a 3rd try. Don’t know what’s going on with the owners and management, but someone better wake up!! The Broken door you couldn’t use (sign stating such), and the door instructed to use had only a bolt for a handle! was a clear sign of the mess this place is. Only other thing I can add that hasn’t been mentioned is there was a call for cash… Staff member was handling dough bare handed, came from the back, put the dough on the counter, went back, grabbed cash, put it in the drawer, picked up the dough and returned the back. Also apologized, offered a free pizza next time we’re in but didn’t log anything or hand us a coupon or voucher for it so not sure how they would honor.

We called and ordered a pizza and breadsticks. They said a 10 min wait, which seemed way too short for a Saturday night so we came after 25 min and they said they hadn’t even started it. Immediately just left and went to Pizza Hut and they had ours done in 15 minutes. Don’t waste your time.

I called on a Friday Night, they quoted an hour and half. Needless to , had my pizza in an hour. I camp in monticello, I’ve ordered 2x from here and I’ve never had a problem. Thank you

If I could give 0 stars I would. Called & ordered 2 large pizzas & some breadsticks and was quoted 15-20 minutes. Got to the location in 20 minutes walked in to multiple people waiting. No one at the cash register even greeted me for about 5 minutes but several employees standing around cracking jokes to each other. I paid for my food, but then was told it would be another 35 minutes. That was fine, I understand people can get busy, so I went & waited 30 minutes in my car. I went back in & they proceeded to tell me it would be another 35 minutes and there was still 4 orders ahead of mine. I asked for my money back & they didn’t even have a manager on site, just a bunch of young kids. Kinda felt bad for them, but I took my business to Pizza Hut where they made my pizza in 15 minutes, hot & delicious. Would not recommend Papa Johns in Monticello to anyone which is upsetting considering it’s my favorite pizza place. Get some managers papa johns!!

The night manager, Makayla, answers the phone as if she doesn’t have the energy to talk. We ordered the special with 1 half bacon & pepperoni, the other Philly cheese steak. It was over an hour, and we called to see what was going on. They were behind. It’s going in the oven now, 15-20 min. I got there & was ignored for almost 5 min. Sorry, we’re so behind. Oh, we messed up 1 pizza, it has to be re-cooked. Why? We made it half pepperoni/half bacon because they are so far behind & she’s got a bunch of kids working. So, we waited another 20 minutes. While waiting, she tells another customer how far behind they are and it’s all day shifts fault because they didn’t do their job.

The food being sold here is inedible. I have tried now multiple times to support this new establishment but it is a joke. The pizza and breadsticks are woefully undercooked….again. To the point it is dangerous to eat. For the third and now final time we are throwing out our order. I can not feed this to my kids when the dough is 10% cooked and cheese not even melted. I have tried to communicate to any person at the store but no one…..I repeat no one responds or answers calls. So now I’m forced to be nasty review guy.
