Sami’s is the local go to in my community. It’s an oasis in the desert, as far rural diners in the Eastern Greene county area go. The staff are friendly, breakfast is all day, the menu has a large variety and the food is decent quality. I ordered a steak with eggs, hash browns, biscuits with gravy and 4 crepes. The steak was ordered medium rare and eggs over easy. The eggs were spot over easy on but the steak was prepared medium well. Regardless, I enjoyed my meal. I was glad I ordered a coke though in addition to my water because something is up with their tap water. Everything came to $25.67. The atmosphere is what you would expect for a country diner that use to be a gas station. The old overhang for the pumps is perfect for keeping the foul weather off your head when you’re getting in and out of your vehicle. I will be back, and I would recommend for a local bite.

Having lived in the area for most of my life I have experienced this location as many different restaurants. Mostly each following the other in the same old menu items. Despite the raving applause by the “locals”, the food is nothing to write home about. On my one and only visit to the current “Sami’s Pancake House”, I tried the Beef Manhattan… The typical staple of Midwest comfort food. No one can mess this up, right!? I got food poisoning and was sick for 2 days following.

Food is very good. Size is humungous. Waitstaff was Very friendly, and quick with refills of coffee. I reccomend highly if you are hungry.

Fantastic, home cooked style meals, fast, friendly service. My daughter would eat here EVERY SINGLE DAY if she was allowed. My daughter even drew/colored Sami a picture and Willow (my daughter) LOVES the fact that it was put on the wall right behind the cash register (“that was EVERYONE can see it”-Willow).
