We were craving some good Japanese food and our favorite place in Boulder was packed, so we dropped in here about 8:45 to a fairly empty restaurant. However, we were greeted warmly and immediately and were given a table within 30 seconds on a Friday night. We ordered sake, beer, and a few apps. The agedashi tofu was above average, though the broth was unusually thick. The fried squid legs were very good, as well. The shrimp shumai was pretty good, but we didn’t think it was worth the price. For mains, we ordered a couple of fatty bluefin rolls and the sashimi moriawase. The rolls were quite good (especially the hand roll), and while the sashimi was above average, it wasn’t worth the steep price for so little fish and the mediocre presentation. We will go back here, though, because we found it to be the second best Japanese restaurant in Boulder and it wasn’t crowded.

Bright and peaceful ambiance in a cozy, nicely laid out dinning room. The excellent service was prompt and friendly. Starting with the miso soup, all of the food was delicious. The softshell crab, baked salmon roll, crab roll, shrimp dumpling, udon soup, and red bean mochi were all freshly prepared, beautifully presented, and delicious. Soporro is available on draft.

Most authentic sushi in all of Boulder. The chef has been doing this his whole life and the food is incredible. The sushi bar is fresh and delicious. This is definitely a relaxed atmosphere and a slower dining experience and remember that authentic Japanese cuisine isn’t served at once so best for a date night versus bigger parties. I love the intimate atmosphere and authentic character of the restaurant. We’re lucky to have it in Boulder!

Some of the freshest and best tasting sushi I’ve had yet. Most everything is a la carte. Highly recommended. And parking is terrible.

We had dinner at Sushi Bistro TASUKI last night and I ordered the 8 piece omakase (chef’s choice). IT WAS PHENOMENAL! The pieces were masterfully crafted. Each one of them was a work of art and absolutely delicious.

Tuna roll with the spicy sauce is my favorite one. Salmon roll and crab with apple roll are kind similar tastes.

Was pretty much a regular here since I used to live so close to this place. And it satisfied my japanese cuisine cravings 🙂 The fish is fresh and they serve authentic Japanese dishes. Had the tuna, yellowtail and salmon nigiri sushi. Skip the fancy rolls and go for the real deal. I also ordered yakitori which was kinda okay, but nothing to complain about.

Best sushi / nigiri / omakase spot in Boulder, they get fresh fish delivered from Japan every week. Chefs and staff are so friendly, highly recommend!

Great little sushi place. Nothing fancy when it comes to the restaurant but the food is great especially for the price. Our waitress was super friendly and even gave us some travel advice since I mentioned we were planning a trip to Japan. We’ve been two weekends in a row after discovering this place and it was consistently good. Would definitely recommend as a local low-key sushi place with great food!

Fantastic food, kind and hardworking wait staff. There may be a delay in service just because they seem to have only two waitresses but they are constantly moving and are always so sweet about running behind when they are busy. The food is worth the small wait! Such a great small and quiet restaurant.
