First time here. Ordered to go. Got the sushi nachos. We felt like we wasted $20+ bucks on this size of this bowl. We will not come here again. We work hard for our money and it was NOT worth what we paid. Super small portions for a lot of money. I should have read the reviews before coming here. We won’t be back.

I’ve had better gas station sushi than this place. Not only was everything extremely overpriced but it was tasteless. It looked great but it didn’t taste like anything. The entire restaurant was filthy and the staff were standoffish and unenthusiastic.

This the 3rd time I try to justify my decision to spend money here. Some of the staff is nice. But some, it seems like it’s an inconvenience to make your sushi roll. Like, sorry I asked you to repeat my order before you made it. The uptown location is definitely better. Get the right amount of food for what you pay. I’ve only seen a manager at this location maybe once. I appreciate them giving the younger teens/adults jobs. But maybe a little more training all around.

Employees weren’t cleaning up the prep station after each order, knives were dirty and being used to cut into everything without being cleaned. I watched them dunk the knife in the water, and the next person pick it up and use it to cut an avocado (covered in eel).

I highly recommend this location, it’s definitely the best in town, and my go-to for tasty, consistent sushi. You can’t beat their sushi burritos, calamari, or poke nachos! The staff at Westside is always super kind and helpful and makes the experience worthwhile.

ARIANA. She always has very beautiful eye makeup. She’s the sushi freak beast. Tuesday night at like 8pm 03/28 they were SLAMMED. Like 20 people arrived in about 5 minutes and at least half of them were ordering 4 rolls or more (not to mention the mobile/Doordash and phones going off). There was one or two newbies who were getting overwhelmed by the influx in orders. I watched Ariana guide and coach each person, and jump from position to position, helping at register then at the big rice cooker then the sushi line. She made sure each order was perfect. I could tell she was stressed and tired but she was absolutely running the show and getting the orders out quickly and correctly even when the new people were making small mistakes she was letting them know and fixing it. She went sushi master mode for the entire 15min I was there . BTW I do not know Ariana, but I am a shift supervisor at a fast food restaurant and I’ve been in her shoes. She deserves a shout out for her amazing hard work! You were a Rockstar Ariana and I hope you read this comment ❤️.
