We were in town for a girls weekend and wanted to do a fancy dinner – Ukiah absolutely nailed it! We decided to do the Chef’s Tasting Menu and the Drink tasting menu, and it was worth it. Tried a number of dishes we wouldn’t have ordered ourselves and they were all so so good. The drinks were a great complement as well. I was super impressed and loved the atmosphere and vibe. Definitely making plans to come back!

We came here becouse we are trying new stuff needless to say we loved almost everything to start we had the Avocado salad never new a salad can taste so good then we had the crispy rock shrimp not a fan wouldn’t eat it again but then we had the beech mushrooms I think the name was omG that was delicious and the sauce that came with it to die for then the vegetables dumpling not a fan either my husband had the the short rib he loved it to finish we had the something@king chocolate and it was very good needles to say our waitress was awesome a hispanic boy super nice nice. The only person that was off was the guy at the entrance it seems he was in a bad mood or didn’t want to work didn’t like he’s vibe at all I think he’s name was Julian. Beside that we loved it here great food and amazing experience and vibe

My sister took me to Ukiah when I was visiting Asheville. The food & service was superb. The Tempura Mushrooms were so delicious, I wish we had ordered 2 plates! The Wagyu sewers were cooked to perfection, not overdone at all. The Ramen was pretty good, the broth could’ve used more flavor but otherwise the noodles were soft and the other ingredients paired nicely. I finished with their coconut cake and I couldn’t get enough of it. Overall a lovely experience and a great night time atmosphere.

Had such an amazing dinner here. We had a reservation for three for outside on a Saturday night but it was raining so we arrived half an hour early hoping we’d be able to sit at the bar instead. We arrive and find out the hostess had actually planned to move us inside anyway and the three bar seats were magically reserved for us. The bartenders and servers were all so kind and helpful with recommendations and descriptions. I think I tried three cocktails and they were all so yummy. The only dish I didn’t think did anything exciting was the hamachi, and maybe the veggie ramen could had some spice, other than that the food was fantastic. Such a cute place and a great vibe. Would totally come back!!

The ramen is too soft and tasteless, I had to ask for salt and add it in myself. The wagyu is too hard to chew, and not worth the price. Among all dishes, only the crispy squid is good. My friend was angry because I suggested to come here.

The street corn was really good, and I liked the edamame, too. The pork belly ramen was good, and I liked the duck pot dumplings but don’t know why tofu was also in there. Both of the ramens had a lot of mushrooms in there. The sake flight was pretty good.

Always love coming back to Ukiah. We did the chefs tasting menu and it was absolutely amazing. The Japanese whiskey was flavorful and smooth and my fiancé ordered a delicious mocktail. Our service was top of the line, the staff are all friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. An overall amazing experience!

I booked this place ahead of our planned trip to Asheville. It spoke to my heart —Japanese smokehouse in the Carolinas. We ordered largely smoked protein and veggies. Shout out to Matt G, our cool and collected server who masterfully organized our dishes to arrive in the best order. Fatty sweet pork belly with smoked snap peas then succulent tender sea bass with grilled maitake mushrooms and lastly the wagyu beef skewers. The cocktails were very interesting and tasty too but man oh man the skewers and well-prepared. I will be dreaming about them for days. Ambience = 5, Service = 5, Food = 5. So glad we booked dinner off the Biltmore estate.

Great drinks and appetizers! Staff is fabulous. We came back a second time and the food was even better, the staff even more welcoming. The Chocolate lava cake was a marvelous topper. My family spent three great days in Asheville and this is the only restaurant that everyone wanted to revisit. Five stars seems like too few for describing the overall experience. Thank you for a fantastic memory.
