Excellent experience. I see people complaining on here about waiting, forget that, go to Chipotle if you want fast food. These employees hustle and work together to make you some of the best homemade from scratch tacos you ever had. Cool, old style, little intimate place in a convenience store. Totally recommended just know it’s not quick serve but quality served with a family feel.

Food is ok nothing you can’t get anywhere else in little village faster and with better service. The aguas frescas are delicious but your experience gets ruined with how unorganized the staff is, I understand being busy is frustrating but no one wants to come to a restaurant to be given attitude by the waitress who’s rolling her eyes and has a fooshie face the whole time. The whole santa muerte worshiping also is a little uncomfortable.

I came to this place with high expectations, given the reviews and the segment it has on that Netflix show. The atmosphere feels traditionally Mexican. You can see through the walls and into the kitchen as food is prepared. Yes, it’s fresh, so food may take some time before it reaches your table. I ordered an al pastor huarache. In my first bite, I tasted salt. I did not taste the cheese or the recommended al pastor meat. The beans are hidden in these layers. Instead of the flavors standing out with each bite, they’re lost. The salsas were okay. I was not blown away by them. Maybe I’ll come back to try their tacos. I’m leaving somewhat disheartened. But that’s what happens when you have expectations. You tend to be disappointed.

I like the decoration they have. Very colorful and a lot of toys for kids reminding me of childhood. I ordered tripe, tongue, head tacos, all are pretty good, tripe is very crispy and head is fatty which I like.

Highly disappointed because this place was recommended. Was unable to eat through the toughness of the steak and didn’t have enough cilantro or onions either. The items on the menu is also limited too.

One of the best tacos in Chicago! Sometimes it can take a while but it’s always worth it. Ask for jalapeños and onions on the side

Excellent food! I found this place on TikTok as it’s super famous. I knew I had to try the pastor tacos, and they did not let me down. I fully enjoyed them. We also had egg tacos, and the cebollitos asadas, and it was amazing. The best part though was the salsa verde. I definitely want to go back and get some salsa to go. The service was very inviting and fast, and the ambience is laid back, colorful, and comfortable.

Tacos here are a little on the small side but delicious. I think service here has to be more attentive to it’s customers. I order 3 tacos thinking they were average size but then decided to order another 2 but the server never came to check on us. But the natural juices are made fresh and so as your food cooked fresh..that’s the reason why it’s a bit of a wait on your food.

Ignore the reviews by people who doesnt have a hispanic name, please. The people is nice and the service is good. The atmosphere is also cool, but the food is actually just OK. I have no problem paying for a nice meal, but the quality was not great compared to the price.

Hands down best tacos in Chicago, one time we visited twice in one day. It’s honestly so tasty and flavorful. You can’t help but order more than once! Always a favourite to visit when I’m in Chicago.
