Today was my first time trying your restaurant out. I heard from other coworkers, the fried fish is so good. Well, needless to say they were wrong! The fish taste like lemon and the fries were so salty. The only thing on the platter that taste good was the hushpuppies. I spent $12 to eat 3 small hushpuppies!!! The platter it self wasn’t worth $12 for the amount of food given. I feel so bad after spending that amount of money for something that wasn’t edible.

I paid 27$ for my food 2 bowls of Gumbo, fish platter and it was horrible, I tasted the burnt hard fish and the guy through the drive thru sound like he didn’t want to take the order and I didn’t get my money worth. First and last time in Gonzales La .

Didn’t realize at first that this is a fast food/quick serve restaurant; however the food was really good. I had the fried catfish basket and my husband had the shrimp and fish platter. Our seafood was well prepared and tasty and the fries were good. The hush puppies were excellent…so good that next time we go I plan to ask if I can skip the fries and have extra hush puppies instead. I thought about 4 stars for service because we waited a little bit for food, but it wasn’t a long wait and they were busy. The food was brought to us and it was good and hot.

We ordered the Catfish & Shrimp Platter and the SEAFOOD GUMBO – BOWL . It was delicious and I and pretty picky about the texture and taste of fried fish… it was perfection. This was my first time ordering from Off the Hook and I was not disappointed at all. Even the SEAFOOD GUMBO – BOWL had delicious flavor!

We did drive thru and it was a bunch if different stuff but all edible and tasted better then normal fast food and it was Fresh that’s very important even when you are dealing with lots of fried food but it was fresh and ready.

The food was cooked well but the catfish breading just wasn’t my jam. The seasoning was just a bit much for me, but the fish itself was cooked great though. Fried shrimp was crispy yet not overcooked. Overall if you are looking for a quick meal, I would recommend

I’m leery about eating seafood in restaurants because I like it fresh, especially shrimp(my fav), so it was just recently I decided to try your establishment. Two times I’ve been, and two different meals, and I give you a 10+!!! First, the service was excellent, you have a great team I’ve encountered so far! I tried the roast beef poboy tonight and wanted to know/see the meat first, ok I’m a little picky, and they accommodated me. Second, they were fast and efficient. So guys.. I went to Off the Hook aka Off Skid Row! At least I think that’s what they had in mind when they slopped up my “Seafood Gumbo.” Forgive me if I’m wrong but I didn’t see the food in Seafood I kept fishing for a shrimp or a piece of a grab just anything in this good ole muddy roux! I was born and raised here and expected to enjoy their definition of “Seafood Gumbo.” I won’t give up on them tho. I have eaten other things on the menu that made my palette dance! But the Gumbo failed me!

Worse dining experience I’ve ever experienced in all of my dining out! My table guest and myself felt very uncomfortable. The waitress was very fake and her service seemed forced! I honestly cannot find the words to even describe what we experienced. We didn’t get our complete order. We had to ask twice for the missing items. I ordered oysters and it took 30 minutes to receive them. Sadly, we noticed her service to other patrons were different than that of which she served us! The food wasn’t worth the hype neither was the service. We will never return to this establishment!
